His comments about staying up last season will no doubt be well remembered, but for me he always worked hard, was often the only bright spark we had and it seems clear to me he's a good lad.

He's emblematic of Chelsea's faults and failures. Expensive and ineffective. They won't look back on him fondly when he's gone.
