Thought the refereeing and VAR was spot on today. Howard Webb must have given that lot at OT a proper bollocking.

minor gripe is not awarding more extra time for the arses dropping like flies and rolling around like they are dying

You can bet had Arsenal not won there would have been a lot of fuss over a couple of decisions that went against them apparently.

Even your Gary agree one was dubious..

Not seen them myself .

We've been seriously unlucky lately.

This challenge, the Sabitzer challenge and then 2 or 3 offside decisions we've been on the wrong side of.

VAR officials have had a lot of issues this year, missing some absolutely huge issues. The entire officiating in England needs a massive rejig.

We generally just don't make a fuss of anything to refs. We're too nice. A soft touch.

Did anyone even go to the ref to say anything? Literally every other club has players that do it. Doesn't even have to be abusive of course. Just pressure them. Castagne gets on the end of a potential red card and the players just accept the free kick.

Weak.

He should have got a 2nd yellow towards end of the first half for his challenge on Faes who was jumping to head ball clear.

Alcaraz made no attempt to jump and compete for the ball just ran into Faes  when he was off the ground. Even in rugby that sort os a challenge is a yellow/sinbinning offence

Weak.

100% this.

We kick off more and there's a chance both Sabitzer and Alcaraz go and we get points from both matches.

Insane admission if true. Does give some weight to thought that it is entirely arbitrary as a system of rules and that it may even be subject to threat of corruption if this is actually how it’s being run.

I was wondering where your comment was going until you hear the final few seconds.

'some weeks the VAR are told to do it and not to do it'.

Incredulous if that is accurate from Walton.

I assume Walton hasn’t explained himself too well there

we’ve all seen a weekend where var makes a few howlers and then the next weekend, those same calls are all picked up.  I think that’s what he was getting at
