Maybe just me, but thought today was one of his better games. Good interchange, some quicker passing, rather then taking too long on the ball, better with his closing down.

Credit where credit due.

Good first half, back to his usual self 2nd

Thought he did alright but at moments it was like he and Amartey were actively trying to lose us the game. He’s so poor in possession.

thought he did well coming infield when Maddison vacated that space to come deep or wide but as ever a non-existant presence in the final third. I can't justify someone who only looks good as a sort of enabling player rather than one who can produce.

So it’s you who sets out his game plan, rather than Brendan? I get why you are disappointed now. :P

Thought he was ok today but he has set himself such a low bar it’s hard to judge. Maddison was our weak link, he offered absolutely nothing.

He’s not a winger I would rather have Albrighton in the starting line up, when we get a winger we are going to be such a better proposition going forward

Today could have (hypothetically)  improved with Perez as the 10 and Marc RW

First touch poor. Unable to hold on to the ball. Often absent for 20minutes or so.  I have no idea why Brendan starts him. It is a mystery

Don't really see the need to belly ache and moan and agonise about his every last contribution every single week.

Yes we get it you don't like him. But brendan does and brendans opinion on players is more valid and important than yours. So we not reign the negativity in and get behind him a bit.

Maddison played a couple of great balls.  He was kicked out of the game.  Fouled so late I didn't see it

I watched Perez in the warm up.  He seems to try to control the ball to close to his feet underneath his own centre of gravity. He seems to be tripping himself up before he can get going.   One of his subsequent movements inevitably lacks control.  The ball seems to get stuck beneath his feet.

Lots of our players made mistakes today.   He did one or two good things but did nothing to change my opinion that he is below the standard required in a very strong squad.

Perhaps he is one of less effective players overall but today he had a decent game in a good performance. We also won the match.

Now is not the time to single him out

I agree with your assessment but I think it's justifiable. Perez and Ricardo give us way to pick apart deep lying defences. Individually I don't rate Perez as a right winger but when he works with Ricardo then Perez is a tactically very important player. And let's not forget his inteception stats: he created a very good opportunity in the first half and those skills led to our FA Cup win.

Perez has had many bad games for Leicester but today wasn't one of them, he was effective in the first half and the goal came from his pressing. If anything in today's match specifically, he offered more than Barnes, though Barnes made a mess of a very promising break with him and Vardy.

Agree with @Mr Weller, today isn't the game to pick him out for being bad.

He did good for a Perez performance but he didn’t do much. Saying that we didn’t play too good today as a team and he was about average.

he’s a useful squad player but we need a heck of a lot better than him to fill the RW role. PLEASE!!! (I’ve feel I’ve been wanting this for ages)

played a lovely ball for vardy's chance in the first 10 minutes and a nice one-two with tielemans before vardy's offside goal. also pressed well. pretty decent game tbh

If Brendan selects Perez that's good enough for me. His role in the side is what the Manager gives him. If Brendan wanted an out and out winger then he'd pick Marc Albrighton. He didn't, we won so would help to just think outside the box once in a while.

people on this website will say they like Perez and talk the world of him just to take a contrarian position towards posters who make it clear they don't like him. Be honest.

Most people don’t rate him so in response you have a lot analysing his performances with a fine tooth comb to find even slightly positive contributions. If he was a decent player, the most effusive praise wouldn’t be for ‘intercepting’ a bad pass in the cup final.

Like all Leicester players - I want him to be fantastic, I want him to play well but he’s just not good enough for where we are & especially not good enough for where we want to be.

His strength is his work off the ball, Albrighton offers that and actually creates some chances. Perez is remarkably uncreative. Given the positions Perez takes up (or Rodgers wants him to take) it’s hard not to think Iheanacho might do a better job there too.

We’ve missed out on the top 4 narrowly in consecutive seasons, the easiest position we can realistically improve on is at RW - a better player there most likely is the difference.
