1. No chance; 1 mistake and you're wanting to turf him out?

2. Fuchs is great and deserves game time, but can see why Chilwell start.

3. Your only sensible suggestion

PS We're two points off second after five games. Chance missed yes but let's not go over bloody board.

Your rational, level headed views aren't welcome in this place of over reaction.

Could of should have but we didn't and lost we move on. Soft penalty but those calling for Soyuncu to be binned, have a word with yourselves. If Madders scores after 3 mins and he should have Maguire would have been absolutely slaughtered for letting the ball bounce. A couple of efforts went a foot the other side of the post and we get a positive result. We let ourselves down and can do better and need to pick up for next week but some of our fans need to remember even the great Leicester City have no divine right to win every game if they were following the other Citeh they would probably be calling for Pep's head after losing to Norwich . We have a good laugh at other teams fans in meltdown yet have plenty of jokers ourselves. Just think if we had been stuffed by the mighty Chelsea

Seeing Norwich being able to beat Manchester City makes this result even more disappointing. I'm a bit bitter about it.

We beat them last year, we’ve beaten them on more than one occasion. Pleased for them, but irrelevant to our result today. We are all just frustrated we lacked spark today. Seeing those Norwich goals, I think it’s fair to say Maguire and Lindelof did a much better job against us than Stones and Otamendi did in their respective games.

Main thing is the defence back line... when opposition play deep vardy is having less touches than the subs brought on and the stats show he’s too wasteful in possession when he gets the ball. Rodgers needs to somehow look at this because even though we’ve had a decent season so far it’s looks like we rarely create solid chances.

Knew we would lose. Said it in the pre match thread. It’s always us.

Ditto.  I never thought we would win today.  Disappointed that we didn't create any clear-cut chances more than anything.  Based on this performance and our opening few games, we will probably finish where we normally finish (8th or 9th).

The full backs were poor. Some performances were poor. But in many cases the big calls by the manager explained them:

Tielemans below par? Well, look at the formations he's performed in and those he's not. We were asking for trouble where he was concerned.

Vardy uninvolved? See above.

Maddison marginalised until the last half hour? See above.

Lack  of creativity in general? Again...

There's no point in slating a boss who's appeared to take us forward over the past six months. But I'd look at him before I'd look at the bulk of individual performances today because his decision-making largely explains those performances. The manager didn't lose us that game (he didn't make Soyuncu's rash challenge, didn't make Pereira uncharacteristically flat-footed, nor compel Chilwell to cede possession to Man U almost every time he got the ball) but if I were him I'd be looking at myself before I pointed too many fingers. And I'm sure he will.

Still, some of the decision-making in the build-up to today's game was very disappointing. Hopefully this manager learns from these sort of situations faster than his predecessor did, and I sincerely, sincerely hope that some of these tactical master-strokes of his don't start to over-shadow our season. We've all seen that before.

The one great advantage he has over Puel, clearly, is that he's kept the squad on-side (for now). But the two defensive CMs haven't worked for two successive managers, and I sat with a bunch of people today who said 'these are big calls, he's going to have to justify this today', which he didn't. In fact, a friend said 'he'll have to change this at 60 or 70 minutes when we're a goal or two down.' It felt spookily predictable when it happened. As if a kid could have looked at that line-up pre kick-off and said 'Tielemans will struggle, Vardy won't get chance, full backs will be exposed, etc.' I think that's quite damning, in a way.

I'd hate for this to become one of those situations where both players and fans start to identify these tweaks as being counter-productive. But I've engaged in enough of these conversations over the years to know that highly rated coaches can do incredibly strange things which make the armchair managers seem relatively enlightened.

I assume the refs in Stockley Park had a look at it.

Wasn't a clear and obvious error in awarding it so wouldn't be overturned.

Let's face it we'd have been naffed off if the Wolves handball had gone against us on the opening weekend of the season.

and Tielemans could've been sent off v Bournemouth.

It was a penalty today. Move on.

The Wolves one is a completely solid decision though Geoff, the rules clear and the ball has hit his hand. I don’t get the “it’s a bit of luck” attitude.

Although I agree about today and I’m actually glad it’s only being used for obvious errors consistently across all prem games.
