TheLittleBigMan Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 How would we feel? I say fair play to him. Obviously context may be lacking in an online news paper article. https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/nottingham-news/wes-morgan-would-consider-fairy-3459639
jayfox26 Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 If he gets offered any kind of role here, I'm pretty sure he'll stay. Hes obviously keeping his options open in case he doesn't get offered something here. Thing is though that Kolo Toure covers the defensive side of coaching, so not sure where Wes would fit in our current coaching set up.
urban.spaceman Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 Check the comments. They don't want him back!
TheLittleBigMan Posted 24 October 2019 Author Posted 24 October 2019 I can see him getting more into the business side. He seems to be planning really well for post playing football. It's really good to see.
turkish14 Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 Talking of “hating forest” I really dislike that chant for Wes... can it not be changed to “he hates derby” he’s Forest through and through. Makes our fans look stupid
Tielemans63 Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 I'd love to see the club find a role for Wes once he retires. I think he would be an ideal guy to have coaching in the youth set up. I can't think of a better role model than Wes.

Fox1970 Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 On a straight 100 yard dash, I think an 80 year old Granny with a Zimmer frame would have an evens chance of beating Gazelle Morgan
themightyfin Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 I think the clubs official Tattooist is the perfect role for him.

Finnegan Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 He's a life long fan with a Forest tat, I'm pretty sure most people know he doesn't hate them really and won't begrudge him going back.

Spudulike Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 So going back isn't actually a fairy tale but more like a last resort if he doesn't get a better offer.

Could be offered the chance to work with some of the academy sides when the new training complex opens. Would allow him to build some coaching experience, aid the development of young pro's and still be around the place. He'd still be able to get advice from people like Kolo.
The whole world smiles Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 Of course he doesn't hate forest, why would he? He was born in nottingham, supported them since boyhood, played there for 10 years and didn't want to leave.
Leeds Fox Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 ‘Come this time next year they might have got promoted and they might ask if I’m interested in joining the club.’ Translates to: If they get promoted (which I’m not saying is likely), I’d consider a move to them if I don’t get a better role at Leicester. Which is likely to happen because I’m current club captain and lead them to a Premier League title.
Devonfox1884 Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 He was our captain when we won the PL - he can do what he wants.

Still got a decent sprint once he gets going. But you don't need pace as a CB, especially when you read the game as well as Wes.

ealingfox Posted 24 October 2019 Posted 24 October 2019 If we're banning all football chants that aren't factually accurate throughout games are going to be pretty quiet.
