dylanlegend Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 In my 25 years as a fan there’s one man who seems a perfect fit for this kind of question, the mighty Steve Guppy
Corky Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Love how Dyer and Guppy are in our best left-footed players yet their most memorable goals for us were both with the right.

By the way, you post quite a lot on the matter for someone who doesn't want to hear about him again.

Wolfox Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 New thread anyone? Nicest left footed player in our history…
Toddybad Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 I never saw Worthington play. Anybody that doesn't think Mahrez wrt modern football is just bitter.

Which one would be his most memorable? Chelsea at home when he dummied Azpilicueta about eight times then pinged it in the top corner?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 I only saw Frankie Wortho once and that was for someone’s testimonial against Spurs (??) He’d probably been retired 20 years but I was amazed to see him. In my lifetime, I guess it’s Mahrez.
Carl the Llama Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Riyad, no question. Shame about his attitude but you can't take anything away from his ability.

oadby.fox Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Easily Cambiasso, still feels weird to think he even spent a season here.

TheCryptoPoet Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 The topics "best left footed player... " so it's Mahrez for me despite the attitude as that's irrelevant to the topic. I can see the merit in arguing for Cambiasso /Worthington. If we're talking "best left foot..." well that's Steve Guppy.

My favourite Mahrez moment wasn't a goal, it was when he megged that Stoke defender before Ulloa (I think) scored. Just the immediate reaction - that guy had no idea where the ball had gone.

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Wot no mention of Neil Lewis either? Always makes me smile thinking of him sat in the away changing room at The Den when he (incorrectly) thought he'd been sent off.
