Brendan has rightly received the plaudits since he arrived but I think Kolo deserves a mention of his own. What a fabulous job he's done with the defence. They are so well-drilled.

100%. We had absolutely no right to improve our defence after selling a defender for a world record fee and not bothering to replace him.

 

His work with Soyuncu has been unbelievably effective.

 

Just as crucial an acquisition as Brendan.

Completely agree. Has done an amazing job with Cags but even more impressive is the way he's got them working as a unit.

He's clearly enjoying working with the players but it's a huge help to have someone of the experience of Evans in the Team.

He's such a top player and a gentleman also. We're so lucky to have him here at a crucial time of the squads development, with so many young players in the squad.

Agreed Ricky is a big time baller.
 

Take nothing away from Kolo though - some phenomenal stats historically.

Ricardo is a full back and Kolo was a centre back, so not really comparable.

Cags has specifically mentioned the defensive work Kolo does in one of his interviews. Could Arsenal be looking at him if they sack Emre? After all they did want Mikel Arteta before Emre.
