dormelcfc Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Talk about disrespect... http://sportwitness.co.uk/nearly-done-arsenal-player-feels-lost-two-years-career-leicester/
Dan Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Don't understand that article. Says he lost two years at a top team but also says he was close to joining Arsenal? Which was it?
ARM1968 Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Doesn’t he play for that team in 4th place? Just asking.

How many times have a media outlet misinterpret and make a mountain our of thin air... shame on you for adding petrol to the fire. Guarantee this is exactly that.
Dahnsouff Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Two things Don't believe the article If it were true, then he is in the process of basically losing the rest of his career Now, back to my Emmerdale marathon.

Don't believe the article? It's full of first hand quotes from him? "For me, it’s clear that I lost two years at the highest level" Or are you saying they made the quotes up?
twoleftfeet Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 He shouldn't have signed a contract when no one else wanted him.

Langston Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Hmmm, I'm still a huge fan of him, and the media do have a habit of spinning quotes for a story, but he really comes off a prong in that piece.
whoareyaaa Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 he would have lost a lot more than 2 years joining Arsenal
ScouseFox Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 i mean he's right tbf, but he definitely shouldn't be saying it in the media. guessing he won't want to come back in january though
foxfanazer Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Don't care. No room for bad apples at this club
Tom12345 Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Did he not sign a contract and made a commitment? Leicester was within its powers to demand that he fulfilled his commitment. Also did he forget that he was picked up from no where by Leicester? Talk about being ungrateful too. Plus, was not he one of the senior players who should feel responsible for the club fighting relegation because he was part of the team. Blame culture in abundance. I hope the article is indeed fake news.
ThaiFox Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 It was only a week or so ago that Kasper was saying how Mahrez (and Kante) always came into the Leicester dressing room because they felt such a bond with the club!
Yes Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Might not have had much of a career if it wasn’t for Leicester.
Dahnsouff Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Dream move didn`t work out as anticipated, so engage in a bit of revisionism. Classy.

urban.spaceman Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 It was for your own good Riyad. We saved you from a life of despair.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 And people are surprised, the way he acted was like he was a prisoner that got paid nothing. He signed a big contract for us and was paid well too, if it wasn’t for us he probably still be applying his trade in the lower French leagues. Get over yourself Mahrez.

Blue ROI Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 I'd hope that wasn't Riyad's thoughts on the matter. Didn't the 5 seasons that included a championship, great escape, premier league win and Champions League quarter final mean anything. Not to mention fairly decent financial rewards to boot.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 We're a much more complete side since he went. Yes it took time but I love how much this squad works together for each other. For us to finish above the sides players have left for would be an absolute dream.
Babylon Posted 11 November 2019 Posted 11 November 2019 Presumably they've let out the part where he said "thank Christ I did otherwise I'd have been playing at Arsenal now rather than Man City winning most things".
