Of course we do specialise in the unexpected.

and the double bluff. Wtf do we expect? I'm not sure! So how tf do I know what is unexpected!

I'm afraid of that sinking gut feeling and that destroys any sense of objectivity.

Why are people quick to jump on the last performance? Hamza after the Villa game was a "nailed on" starter in the absence of Wilf and people were touting him for England.

One game later people are calling him to be dropped and replaced with Mendy. Mendy although hasnt done anything wrong, he hasn't done much to impress in the past either.

Hamza at least gets stuck in, tries to lead the midfield press and gives us the energy we have been lacking in recent games. His ability on the ball needs to improve but for his other attributes I would play him over Mendy and allow Maddison and Tielemans further up the pitch.

Nothing major bar weve dropped off over the last few weeks.

is that from the mercury article? the headline says pope says “they have dropped”, but his actual quote was talking about burnley’s performances. he literally doesn’t mention us once haha.

Yeah, just mentioned it now in the pub and that was a reply I got.

Selective editing by the mockery again then

Couldn't agree more. Though only one game it was symptomatic of our general decline since Everton at home really. Plus out form against the so-called big 6 is pretty poor.

Chelsea H

Man City H

Wolves A

Arsenal A

Spurs A

Man Utd H

I would say 0-4 points from these is a realistic return. Makes the rest of the season pretty much must win matches if we are to make top 4.

0-4 points I think your really over estimating those sides 10 points at least

He was referring to us from what I read somewhere last week.

I'm the eternal pessimist but we seem to be missing the point that we have to lose

4 more games than any of those below us. It's not 4 losses and we're out.

I'm not comfortable enough to say we'll get top 4, in fact I'm a bit twitchy about it. But this season is very much like our title season, teams are dropping points when you least expect it. We'll probably lose 4 or 5 more games, but Chelsea, Utd, Wolves etc are also capable of the same.

Not losing in those games you mentioned is key

I thought Rodgers acknowledged something similar in his press conference.

Personally speaking, I think it uncontroversial to say our performances have dipped these last few weeks. I wasn't expecting wins v Man City or Liverpool but the manner of the defeats was against our run of form up until then. And since, we've simply not recovered that pre Christmas energy. I just hope the week since Southampton has given us the time to re-energise and rediscover our touch.

Be good to get back to winning ways but we made hard work of Burnley at the king power and  we've played them at Turfmoor in recent years and have got beaten in the middle of disastrous form. Hope it wont be the case today.

A lot needs to go right for us today. A big run of games coming up and would be good to build a cushion before the Chelsea game.

Blood outrageous that the team has been leaked so early before a game.

Is this bloke on Twitter a fan or an attention seaker?

also who the feck is leaking? There can’t be that many people who know the line up more than 24 hours before a game.

Yes ........

there are plenty who know the line up ..... the players .......the support staff ........
