boots60 Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 The best game of football I have seen in my life https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35432933
fuchsntf Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 This was vor me the defining game. From this moment,I didnt know if we would..but for the First time ( including Ice-kings memories) felt und Knew we Really could. and the level of that realisation was sky- high..!!!
davieG Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Leicester City Football Club · 4 years ago today. The day many Foxes started to believe..
Leicester_Loyal Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 **** me, Kante was the man that season.
st albans fox Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Sat in my lounge mouth agog, pinching myself ......
RoboFox Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Went with a Manchester City-supporting friend and sat amongst the home support. I was soaked through with a banging hangover from the night before, but I didn't care. I thoroughly expected us to lose that day, and I struggled to contain myself as the goals went in. We went to a local pub after the game and stood at the bar absolutely surrounded by people in sky blue who were very welcoming and complimentary. Some even wanted us to go on and win the league.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 4 years ago today I landed in Australia ready to start a new life for a few years not truly believing we could do it. 3 months later I'd gave it all up, was at the West Ham game, we were 2-1 down, Vardy had been sent off and my arse was twitching like a good en. Best gamble I'll ever make.
Katy Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Stood next to the home fans for this game. Just before the final whistle a Man City fan leaned over the barrier and started shaking every hand he could reach saying ‘congratulations, you’ve won the league’. Still gives me goosebumps thinking back to it, I didn’t believe him at the time though but I’m glad he was right!
urban.spaceman Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 I was in Cape Town. My Uber driver was already late. When he arrived I told him to step on it because I needed to get to the pub to watch an important football game. He took me to Green Point Stadium instead of the ****ing pub. I'm super laid back when I'm in Africa so I was trying to be cool about it, and calmly explained where the pub was. I explained about Leicester City, and he seemed to understand. The match had just started. And foolishly I said to him I doubt I'd miss a goal in the first few minutes anyway. Just as we turned the corner to the pub my phone pinged - Huth had scored! I went ****ing apeshit in the back of the car, and he looked at me weird. I jumped out of the car and ran into the pub just in time for the replay. When Mahrez's goal went in me and the other Cape Town Foxes just looked at each other and said "This is actually ****ing happening, isn't it?" Happy times!
Voll Blau Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Watched this in a pub in Bochum rammed with about 50 English and German Leicester fans. What an afternoon that was...
Deeg67 Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Blimey, look at that table. Chelsea almost looked as if they could actually be relegated.
StriderHiryu Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 I was at this game! Someone near me slipped on the wet stairs after Huth's third and hit his head, but he was so delirious with joy like the rest of us that he just got back up and kept on celebrating with the rest of us! The Southampton game had a much more epic scoreline, the Man U 5-3 game was incredible for the back and forth, but this for me was our finest hour. We went away to the most expensively assembled team of all time and beat them easily 3-1. We all believed after that game, and you could see that even the players thought so too. We played them off the park!

Fox92 Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Still in my top 5 favourite away days. Also note that going into the game Man City were only 3 points behind us but apparently the big clubs didn't turn up that year.
VLC86 Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Genuine head in hands moments when the 2nd and 3rd went in. Scenes outside the ground when every Man City fan I walked past shuck my hand other than the guy who hoped I “die in a car crash”
Ian W LCFC Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 I could watch that Mahrez goal on repeat for hours
ScouseFox Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 still not really sure how mahrez did all of those things so perfectly in about 5 seconds and then couldn't even nail the simplest of celebrations

Yeah I was on the end as well, they looked equally as baffled as I did.
Guest Manini Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 As soon as that 3rd goal went in I think I was constantly pissed until about July

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 Really surreal feeling being in the away end that day. Early kick-off, absolutely chucking it down and all of the talk on the trains and trams en route to the ground was "If City (Manchester City) lose today, Leicester could win the league". You'd expect that when that Huth header went in there would be absolute pandemonium from then until the final whistle. Yes, people celebrated the goal wildly but I'l always remember an almost eerie atmosphere as people stood (me included) with hands on heads in a "is this really happening?" fashion. Man City fans were great about it on the whole and I remember as we sang "we're gonna win the league" at full time there was lots of pointing and gesturing from the home end in a "you're gonna win the league" fashion. Meandered down the stairs out of the ground back into the dreary afternoon and all of sudden we're pulled aside by an interviewer for Premier League World or something like that. Her first question was to summarise what we'd just witnessed and I told her in 20 years of following Leicester I'd never seen scenes like the utter disbelief in the away end when we went 3-0 up. Her second question was 'do you believe you can now win the league?' and I just waved my hand and refused to answer the question. There was just no way I could possibly say it. Still don't think I fully believed this day. Many say they did, but for me it was still too soon and it was the midweek round of fixtures after we drew with West Brom and then Spurs failed to beat West Ham and Arsenal failed to be Swansea that I thought "this is on". Great memories!
jonthefox Posted 6 February 2020 Posted 6 February 2020 one of those games that in years to come i can say , i was there .
