MC Prussian Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 When's the last time we won a game on a Friday night? Ricardo Pereira probably our most active and most attacking player. Kudos to the back four of handling the Wolves attacker well enough, but that's about the amount of praise I can come up with. Where was our midfield? Maddison, Tielemans, where were thou? Barnes with no impact, could hardly get past the Wolves defenders. What was the point in fielding Perez today? No incentive going forward, Vardy with how many shots on goal? We've looked disinterested, flat, uninspired, unmotivated for a while now and I'm fed up that these issues haven't been rectified yet. Add clumsiness to that list. Choudhury, why??? It's as if the players, the manager and the club are happy with where we are, just don't put any more effort in, simply slouch over the finishing line. I mean, as long as the teams behind us are playing so erratically, why bother at all? I'd hate to think with what mentality we'll approach Manchester City at home next weekend...
TazzerFox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 We've done amazing this season to be where we are no doubt. However, if we want to continue to compete in these positions for seasons to come heavy investment is needed in the summer. Attacking side of things today we lacked any sort of cutting edge at all.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Just got to hope we can crawl over the line to champions League football because we certainly arent going to do it with style and quality the way we have been playing the last couple of months.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Delighted with the clean sheet about time we defended well but a horrific performance going the other way when any semblance of competence would have got us three points (as they will feel too). How is Albrighton still an option. Has done nothing all season

Tanya Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Quite possibly the worst Leicester game to watch this season. At least the first Wolves/Leicester 0-0 was the first game of the season so you can excuse a bit of rust. Take the draw and figure what to do when teams stifle us through the middle, forcing the play out wide where our weaker wingers have to influence play more. Thought Evans was immense. Soy and Riccy good too. Everyone else was okay. With Wilf's injury Hamza had the chance to try and claim the position as his own but he has only shown that right now, he is barely half the player N'didi is. The red card is a bitter shame too: I'd have played Hamza and Wilf against Man City. A point isnt the worst result in the world I just wish our performance was better.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Good point. It was a difficult one because we were playing against 5 at the back. It’s a difficult one for the manager, I called for Kelechi to come on but then you lose a man in midfield and lose that battle. Ricardo and Evans were outstanding. Ricardo is such a leader. We need a right winger and top quality one. Wolves bringing on Traore really hit home, we had no one of similar quality to bring on, on our side. Perez is not a winger and to be honest, I can’t understand why he isn’t playing off Vardy like he did earlier on in the season. One more point to the total...
BigWesMorgan Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 You’d have taken a draw before kickoff. But that was absolutely horrid football! Ndidi is missed immensely
SecretPro Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Ill take that all things considered. Seriously need to think about dropping Vardy until his heads right, unfair on Nacho to be in such good form and not even come on off the bench, Vardy was anonymous, as were Barnes and Perez, need to spend some serious money in summer. Also, LinekersLugs needs to be banned for that goal shout. Not funny when the game is so tense.

Also that's 4 points VAR has robbed off us from you this season I also thought Chowdhury's second yellow was a bit harsh. He slipped and was just trying stretch for the ball. Letter of the law and all that though... Robbed?? Define robbed? You correctly to the letter of the law had two goals ruled out against us. That does not meet my definition of robbed.
vanity Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 It is about time to consider Iheanacho over Vardy, especially against teams we expect to primarily counter-attack who sit deep. His lack of availability in the build-up is hurting the attack and costing us goals and point in the standings.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Hmmmmmm. OK so Brendan was pragmatic in how we set up - fair enough. Important not to lose that game. Result was good. However, feel we could have done more on the break to win it. Wolves are wank against sides that defend and counter, we did the defending OK but not the countering. Anyway, the most important was to not lose, it hurts them more than us, I'll take it.

Patience wearing thin with Perez, doesn’t really have anything to his game, very lightweight, nor a lot of guile, not pacy. We could do without continuously trying to attack from wide. Literally horseshoe e tactics from Rodgers again and again. Isn't that a bit harsh to single him out. Going forward we were clueless everywhere except with Ricky P.

Nod.E Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 Good result Great defending Worrying set pieces Out of form players Think that pretty much sums it up. Tielemans, Schmeichel, Vardy and Chilwell need summer. Perez is too quiet, too. That 4 have been consistently poor for a couple of months now. We'll get over the line but it won't be pretty.
Wolfox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 It was off…. Shut the f@ck up and move on… why do journalists constantly feel that there should be something to discuss? NB - i’d say the same thing if it was the other way round
wokinghamfox Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 What I dont get are the 5 long paragraphs that people write on foxestalk about what we are'nt doing in the game. It must take them most of the second half just to write the bellecks. How the feck do they manage to watch the game.? I am so glued to it climbing on the ceiling that i can barely breath. Its all beyond me. By the way good point tonight.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 And I'm sitting here again wondering why the most blatant body check in the penalty area isn't even reviewed. But then again, with that **** Oliver sitting behind the screens with clueless Dean on the pitch, one point feels like three.
goose2010 Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 To be fair Wolves played like a mid table away team 11 behind the ball no desire to come on to us. Was always going to be a tough game. They had a game plan and so did we and we both probably nillified each other.

Buggsteam Posted 14 February 2020 Posted 14 February 2020 With out criticising to much but what did the players do on their two weeks off?? we looked off the pace, no movement and passing was so slow. where has the Tielemans of last season gone?? Parez... what does he off the team?? No pace and can’t control a ball. Vardy isolated up top with no service. only play that looked up for it was Ricardo. what has happened to the team and the drive and passion we had at the start of the season?? we just look scared or give to much respect to the teams around us in the league.
