Guest Cujek Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 I hope he is good, the fee talked about is a huge fee for us to be paying on a 19 year old centre back.

Popular Post moore_94 Posted 30 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 30 September 2020 (edited) Medical in Germany today apparently https://insidefutbol.com/2020/09/30/wesley-fofana-due-for-leicester-city-medical/474923/ Saint-Etienne defender Wesley Fofana will undergo a medical in Germany today ahead of his proposed move to Leicester City According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the Frenchman will undergo a medical with Leicester in Germany today as the next step towards completing the move. Due to health restrictions in the UK, his medical will be conducted in Germany and Leicester are happy to get it done as soon as possible. Once he undergoes the medical checks, the defender will take a flight to England and complete a transfer to Leicester. Edited 30 September 2020 by moore_94 12

I think we’ve unearthed the greatest FT rumour of all time and we need some answers. 1 8

Apparently, Fofana's ancestry is not Malian, as reported in some newspapers, but Ivorian. His parents moved to France (Marseille) from the Ivory Coast in 1999, just before he was born. His father played football for ASEC Mimosas in Abidjan in the late 1990's - a Centre Back (any clues yet?). Fofana has Ivory Coast citizenship, as well as French (and that is confirmed by Transfermarkt). Now, we also have an Ivory Coast citizen at the KP, a Coach, a defensive Coach. He played for ASEC Mimosas from 1999 to 2002 - a Centre Back. Yep, Kolo Toure! My contact is confident that Toure's connections, his knowledge of Fofana (not Congerton's scouting network), were the reason we started looking at him - and a big reason he wanted to come to Leicester. All that might come out soon. So following normal Foxestalk protocol, if it works out well it's a Kolo signing, if it turns to shit it's a Congerton signing. 1 1 4

Popular Post Jimbo Posted 30 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 30 September 2020 I think we should take a moment to respect that this topic has been running since 30th April. And give even more respect that we've gone from the 1st reply to this topic all the way to this and Fofana being the next Desailly 1 6

This works in our favour and players know they can develop at our little old club. 1

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Clubs like Man Utd cannot take the risk on someone like Wesley. They need people at the top of their game as their fans and board are not willing to accept anything less than immediate success. So we take the risk, and then when they're proven we fleece the top clubs for millions and millions of pounds. I can see Wesley having 3 fantastic years for us and then going somewhere for £150 Million. 1

He WILL need to be registered for the Europa League because he's been here less than two years. 6 2
