I think people’s transfer anxiety has been heightened by a number of things - our 2020 form and injuries etc; but also, I think people forget that the window is still open for another month - we’ve had a couple of years to get used to having the window slam shut the day before the season starts, so it feels like we should have our shit together by now. 
 

In years gone by we’ve signed players well into the season before the window shut - Cambiasso and Simpson spring to mind. 
 

(Slimani and Inler were the other two but they don’t help my narrative so I won’t mention them)

We either want to keep Rodgers, in which case we do our best to reinforce in the areas we desperately need more quality (out wide) or we sack it off and find someone to play a different way. 

 

Rodgers has shown throughout his career he's willing to die on the Total Football hill. He's not changing.

Same as Chilwell..player and buying club agree a contract (presumably a legally binding agreement in principle to avoid gazumping) long before the selling club relent on price

I have been a subscriber since they launched the UK edition -- and it isn't showing up on my App, either. Someone Twitter said breaking news is only available on iOS at the moment, not Android. That could be the issue. I noticed that they haven't updated the App in Google Play since early August.
