Man City CAS

Recommended Posts

I know everyone hopes for a relegation but It really feels unfair on the championship.

What’s great about the championship is how competitive it is. You never really know who’s going to go up, it’s everything that makes sport great.

plop man city in who dominate the whole thing and a club who has been building and may financially need it, misses out.

Imagine if our year, rather than the 3 way race we had for 2 spots it was now for 1 place. That burnley side deserved to finish second but if they’d missed out to man city that year, they would have lost everything and continued to never have prem football for the foreseeable future. They may have not been glam but their whole community got about 5 years of top flight football and efl league win on the back of that year.

Just ban the owners,  transfer embargo them until a new fit and proper owner purchases them.

interestingly when juve were in serie B, the 2 who came up with them were napoli and the other sleeping giant genoa.  That year was a write off for the little clubs, (utterly amazing those 3 sat their together given their sizes). But what a screw you for the underdog

Absolutely right, so put them in div 2 with a 30 pt deduction, the extra money that the likes of Sutton and Harrowgate make from playing them would go some way to offsetting the bias.

Maybe..🤔

Rangers had to drop to the bottom of the Scottish pyramid.

I think it will need a punishment on that scale, to stop the other obvious murkiness going on in Football.

It has gotten completely out of control and the Premier League need to finally do something about it.

Will they though?

Where to start.

- Relegate them

- Impose HEAVY financial penalties

- Asteriks everything they've won in that period and compensation to every team affected by their dishonesty

- Ban them from 5 transfer windows

- Force their owners to sell up, they have proven to be rotten and cannot be permitted to continue owning the club

Did I miss anything? You've got to hit them hard, otherwise this will only keep happening.

yep you’re right here. Drop them to the bottom and it benefits the other

sides. (especially as 4 go up) A one year loan to the championship achieves very little

It will take years, as Man City will spend millions tying it up in courts. It will all fizzle out and they will get a fine and 2 window transfer ban.

Didn't all this happen a couple of years ago, and they got let off with a teeny weeny fine?

The Premier League is as bent as Formula 1.

That was with UEFA and they got out of it by not co-operating and effectively timing out the case, as UEFA or whoever can only investigate or charge them from so far back. Absolute joke! Didn't stop Man City fans and Pep declaring they had been exonerated though.

Premier League apparently don't have a time limit and so that is why they can go back 10 years with charges

So in 2020, if they were not let off, we would have played Champions League football. And all the money that goes with it.
Robbing bastards, I really hope someone has some balls to actually give them a significant punishment now.

I've just come back from the future - they didn't.

Fair point, but for one year it’d be worth it just to see the looks on their fans faces

And they don't allow the case to go to the court of arbitration for sport as what happened  last time when eufa were chasing them.
