Does he still reside where he lived whilst he was at Norwich?

Lives off of Braunstone Gate in a flat. Its called something Gate, cant recall exact name, but he can be often seen around there.

JAMES MADDISON has agreed to a double-your-money deal at Leicester.

In a massive boost to the Foxes ahead of their Champions League shootout against Manchester United today,  Maddison committed himself to the club until 2025.

James Maddison has agreed to a double-your-money contract extension at Leicester

The England midfielder, who misses this afternoon’s vital clash through a hip injury, will earn around £95,000 a week including bonuses.

That package makes him one of Leicester’s highest-paid players behind top-earner Jamie Vardy, who is on around £120,000 a week.

The Midlands club is expected to announce Maddison’s contract as early as this week.

Maddison, 23, who made his senior England debut in November, had been linked with a big-money move to  United.

Leicester signed him in 2018  from Norwich for £22million and extending his initial five-year deal  is an important statement of intent by the club.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are fifth in the Premier League table, one point behind United and Chelsea ahead of today’s final day of the season.

But even if the Foxes fall short of a top-four finish on this occasion, the club’s owners have no intention of reining in their ambitions.

A new £100m training ground is due to open soon in Seagrave — and Rodgers believes it  will play a big part in helping Leicester continue to compete at the top end of the Premier League.

Convincing Maddison to extend his stay is another  piece in the jigsaw.

Talks to agree a new deal for the star began well before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Seems cheap this !!! He needs a new agent Manure would have laid him £130+ all day long

If these figures are true that’s an outstanding piece of business

maybe one of those ‘gentleman’s agreements’ moving forwards .......  and United would have paid him more than that !

Maybe but didn't he join us as he wanted to live in the Midlands as most of his family and friends live in Coventry? He might not be just about the money!

I'm betting anything that when he came from Norwich he wouldn't have been on a massive wedge. 95k a week for a lad his age playing every week in the prem near all his mates is not really that bad is it.

It's all academic anyway, means nothing. If man utd or any other big club come in and really want him they will get him, just like Maguire, Kante, etc, we will get a lot for him but he will go regardless of what contract he's on. It just means we will get a bigger fee if he's got a longer contract.

How can any one live on 95k a week?  I hope the Government is going to top this up during the Corona pandemic.  If Boris does nothing, he most go.  Designer Shell-Suits and Ruck-sacks do not come cheap.  Great news for the Club about the contract🤗

I don't doubt it. It's a good way of doing business. It protects our investment, the lad gets a pay rise and if he really does attract the interest of big teams, they'll pay and he can go.

Wouldn't have minded selling him tbh, although I presume the virus combined with his very average season meant there wouldn't have been any takers. If there had been, we certainly could have upgraded on him for less than we would have got for him, accounting for the English tax etc.

Great news

Mad as it sounds, £95k doesn't seem too much and I still think Maddison can improve. As has been said, we're going to need a big squad next season and lots of speculation about players won't help. If this is sorted we can focus on who we might lose (probably Chilwell) and how to replace him.

Yeah let’s have barnes missing 5 chances a game instead.

Its unreal the support barnes gets over maddison. No top 10 team in the league would have barnes anywhere near there squad.

****in hell lol you seen how devoid of creativity we’ve been when we’ve missed him? Where would we be without him?!

That was also an issue December to February, when he was playing...

I think he's had quite a poor season overall, but he's obviously been playing with injuries so that's hampered him. A new contract is good news, get him tied down for ages and pushes up his sale value too. I think he'll be much better next season, when he's fully fit.

Well if he's had a poor season, I can't wait to see a good one.

He's been an absolute joy to watch and what's more, he comes across as a lad who loves what he does.
