He was a good friend of Dale Winton so the LGBT stuff isn't that surprising. EDIT. And its not just his Pogba obsession I'm on about, his comments about Kean last season for example stop just short of basically saying he lazy because he's black. The Kean stuff was harsh but as it still stands, he’s not made the breakthrough - worth noting Souness did work in Italy as a player and manager, so maybe be subject to something we don’t know. Souness has managed abroad in Turkey and Portugal. In that latter role at Portugal, he signed three black players to Benfica. He’s had a wider experience than most of his fellow pundits. He broke through religion prejudices by famously signing a Catholic for Rangers. I think it’s too easy to label him a racist tbh. I think he's making comments based on a subconscious thing in his mind. I think subconsciously he looks at Kean, and rather than think its a 19 year old moving to a new country and struggling, he seeing a young black guy who's struggling and therefore a trouble maker. I don't think you'll find him making those comments about say Werner or the young lad at Wolves if they struggle.
