Understand fans celebrating but it’s the players going nuts after being shit 98% of the season which rankles

I don’t see how just surviving by luck is worth a celebration, Sheff wed needed a points deduction and Rotherham were so unlucky today

Especially when they would have gone down any other season.

Don't blame them for wanting to celebrate staying up with their fans.  If we were in the same boat we'd be loving the players for doing this.

Like people in this very thread wouldn't have gone wild if we had stayed up that day at Stoke lol

It's embarrassing that Derby were in that situation to start with of course, but don't see the harm in celebrating just through relief if anything.

Also, cant wait to see the Sky / TalkSport build up to the Brian Clough Trophy next season between the 37th and 41st best teams in England.

Really felt Rotherham would manage to survive.

Derby may well be safe, but boy don't they need to sort themselves out behind-the-scenes.

Sheffield Wednesday have become a proper lower league club now, similar to Bristol City. Bouncing between 2nd and 3rd tier. This is their third relegation to League One in 15 years. They are a small club.

Wednesday.

I agree though, for a club of their supposed size three relegations to the third tier in a relatively short space of time is ridiculous. You might have one but three is terrible.

What’s this about Derby getting a points deduction?

lol

Has been postponed for ages, a decision should have come already but the ELF are useless, if found guilty (Which looks likely) they would and should have been treated the same as Wednesaday this season. However it is looking likely they will get a deduction next season.

Sort of agree, and I know you're only using a comparison, but I think they're bigger than Bristol City.

Probably same sort of level to Forest for me.

The size of clubs change season on season but somehow certain clubs carry the status with them no matter what. Currently Bristol City are bigger than Sheff Wed but might not be in a couple of years time.

NottsF have a higher status than currently deserved due to Euro wins over 40 years ago. Many of their fans think the club is still famous because they have grown up believing it after having it passed on from the previous generation. Their relevance to the term big seems to have escaped them.

I believe if Derby have lost £39 million or more over a three year period then they should be deducted a minimum of twelve points.

If anythinv, They'll probably get a 12 point deduction starting next season.

Lets not forget Wigan got a points deduction at the end of last season which relegated them and saved Barnsley. Wigan had finished 13th.

But they knew they were getting the points deduction at that point already. Slightly different
