Fox92 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Thank God it’s over. Bottled the season. Two mistakes cost us the game today (Hamza, Kasper)
Guest seanfox778 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Would've taken Europa League at the start of the season but well and truly f***ed off after watching what we've done to ourselves the past few weeks.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Brendan set us up well and approached the game well. We weren't good enough when it came down to it. But proud of the team for a really good season, and we have a lot of players with potential to really kick on. Onto next season. I'm glass half full.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 I really hope we learn from these mistakes and come back stronger next season.
sdb Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Put up a good shift today but 3 more brain farts summing us up. Shout out to Evans who finally gets the red card he's been after for the last three weeks. Next steps - 3 quality signings and sort out the pretty tame, weak mentality amongst a big chunk of the squad.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 5th overall on reflection is a great season, but being 14 points ahead with 14 games to go is perhaps the greatest collapse I've ever seen us manage, only the 3-0 against Wolves at HT before losing 4-3 can maybe match it. I don't like the mentality of this team, prior to today Rodgers was saying stuff like we don't expect the CL, United do, they're a bigger club etc. It's a poor mentality and it must reflect on the players and the club as a whole. A few years ago Vichai/Top were saying they wanted us to be top 4, they were laughed at and a couple of years later we won the league. We aren't bloody Norwich or Brighton, we have a state of the art training facility opening soon, a great stadium, one of the best scouting systems in the country and a decent amount of revenue, we need to start acting like it. This rot needs addressing and we need to go again in 6 weeks with a fresh mindset, if we get off to a bad start then it could get very tricky for us. Hopefully a couple of our injuries will be healed by then and we will have a much better looking 11. 5 or 6 signings are needed, for Christ Sake sign a bloody world class winger this summer, it has to be priority number one, every game we miss chance after chance because we're relying on purely Vardy to score. It's a rare sight if anyone else actually scores. I'd like to see a target man signed, but Rodgers won't do that. Signing Big Giroud for 10m or so or a foreign tank would be nice. Keep Thomas and Choudary in the squad for next season, both look like they can handle the pressure of the EPL. I'm not sure about Hirst, it will depend on if we sign another striker. Either way, regardless of the competition we're in, we're still gonna be watching European football next season. Even if we can't go to the games we can still have our European tour, see you all there.
VLC86 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 I knew it was coming but there is always that part of you that thinks it would be a fairy tale, nope. Useless ****ing *****
DennisNedry Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Sums up the second half of the season. Create next to nothing. Suicidal defending. Incredibly frustrating. I hate football sometimes.
Guest ttfn Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 I actually thought Rodgers did the right thing today and he was literally seconds away from getting to where he wanted at 0-0. Unfortunately that is the risk you run when you play to keep it tight. And it’s the risk you run when you go into the final day of the season needing something despite having a seemingly insurmountable lead.
foxfanazer Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 The powers that be need to do a proper review of these last 6 months. Nothing short of shambolic. Today was actually one of our better performances and we were still passive
purpleronnie Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 I doubt anyone is surprised by the situation it was always going to end this way. Fair play to Man Utd a brilliant run in the last few months fully deserved. Looking forward to Europa League Next season.
Brainy Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Missing out of Champions League football would be a lot harder to take if we didn't experience it a few years ago
NaijaFox Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 That 2d goal sums up our year thus far. 2020 has been HORRENDOUS for us!
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 It's almost a relief the season is done
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Sky and VAR have got what they wanted. Total shit footie from us all year though, and too many poor errors.
FoxyJim1987 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Absolute banter team. Give the ball away 30 yards out and give pen away, have player sent off let Lingard score against you, this second half of the season has been a total shambles. From 2nd to finishing 5th totally ballsed up.
Hanan96 Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Anyone can tell me who's the left back when Hirst come on?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 We never turn up to these sort of games. Need to sort that out. Still a good season but we completely bottled champions league, the league cup and the FA cup.
twister Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 need a break from football, hate this bent ****ing league wont be watching any matches for a while half hearted bollocks today **** this season
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 We gave it to them. Our experience players let us down today. Morgan, Evans and Kasper. Hope we keep this squad together, if we can add to them with quality, we’ll be ok.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Just now, Hanan96 said: Anyone can tell me who's the left back when Hirst come on? The ghost of Harvey Barnes
Ted Maul Posted 26 July 2020 Posted 26 July 2020 Genuinely pathetic. Knowing you need to win and showing no urgency. Bunch of wasters.
