We're a joke. Just bend right over when the pressure is on. That game has summed it up, they were nothing special, we hit every shot as tamely as possible and fail to really pressure and quite literally gave them 2 goals. Jesse fking Lingard who hasn't scored in over a year with his joke bumfluff beard after absolutely gifting them a pen after seemingly being in control.

Europa League? Great, I'd have accepted that at the start. In December? No I wouldn't. March? No I wouldn't. Start of project restart? No I wouldn't. We have completely bent over to the big boys, spread them wide. Wonder who we'll sell this time, at least we can get another Nacho, or Perez. Just F off. I'm usually calm but this is properly just giving up in the most pathetic way. We were good enough, we just didn't look arsed, all the way back to Norwich home. Really really bitterly disappointed, this is a serious weakness and we need to make serious changes.

no the point is against a team like united get it to 0-0 till a decent time then throw ur attackers on and try get the goal but it just didn't happen!

But that doesn't make sense!  If it was nil nil with fifteen to go United would only defend it more and more, making it harder for us to score!

In these circumstances where only a win will do, they should of come out the gates at 100 miles an hour and absolutely gone for it.  Then, we might have scored early and United would have really panicked, and they could have been picked off at will possibly.  The plan of nil nil with ten to go just wastes 80 minutes of a football game we need to win.  It's a shite attitude to have.

14 point lead in January and we've missed out by 4 points.  There has never been a bottle job like this in Premier League history.

5 wins out of 18 in 2020.  A truly catastrophic run of form heading in to the new season in just six weeks.  How confident are we that Rodgers can pick us up from this?  Major questions need to be asked.  If this form continues he could be gone by October IMO.

Also questions for the owners, where was the investment in January as it was clear as day even then that our squad depth is horrible?  We surely need to scrap the sell-to-buy policy and get some depth and quality in.

Sure we have to pay over the odds as it's always been difficult convincing players to move to the Leicester area but it's clear major investment is needed.

Nope, but we don't deserve to laugh at Spurs anymore.

Where did they finish?

Pathetic really. Big changes needed, need some quality, need a massive shift in mentality otherwise we are in a relegation battle with unwanted hassle of Thursday and Sunday Euro.

No. We have good players, though we do need to strengthen. We do fully need to change mentality. If we still play this backpassing crap next year I am done. At least it was satisfying to see the lads try and go for it last 10 mins - even though we did not score but it was just good to see our lads care and want to win - something Brendon has taken away from the lads in the last 6 months with his backpassing bu*lsh*t. When he joined, he said he is here to make the teams score more goals and give Vardy more chances. He seemed to have forgotten about it as soon as a few bad results came end of 2019 and then he was just trying to get his team to hold on.

Anyone else think its a total waste of time Johnny Evans going up for corners & free kicks as just ends causing a foul every single time!

A perceived foul you mean. If he was anywhere near the ball the cvnt gave a free kick.

I don’t know why we argue for corners that are given as goal kicks. We’re more likely to score from an opposition goal kick.

Liverpool win the league, Villa stay up and Leeds promoted, we piss away a massive advantage and Maguire can now look smugly down on us. If carlsberg did nightmares........

So dejected. To be honest I feel worse because it was against United. I hate them so much. They are so entitled and frankly we're crap today. They are the definition of elitist w4nk3rs.

Chance of a lifetime blown. Shouldn't have come down to this game.

It isn't the chance of a lifetime, we have a decent side, we need to strengthen, organise and go again. Without lockdown I don't think we'd have had an issue imo

We won't be relegated, but unless we buy 2 or 3 really decent players before the season starts it will be a struggle.  Bottom half no question if we change nothing.

5th overall on reflection is a great season, but being 14 points ahead with 14 games to go is perhaps the greatest collapse I've ever seen us manage, only the 3-0 against Wolves at HT before losing 4-3 can maybe match it.

I don't like the mentality of this team, prior to today Rodgers was saying stuff like we don't except the CL, United do, they're a bigger club etc. It's a poor mentality and it must reflect on the players and the club as a whole. A few years ago Vichai/Top were saying they wanted us to be top 4, they were laughed at and a couple of years later we won the league. We aren't bloody Norwich or Brighton, we have a state of the art training facility opening soon, a great stadium, one of the best scouting systems in the country and a decent amount of revenue, we need to start acting like it.

This rot needs addressing and we need to go again in 6 weeks with a fresh mindset, if we get off to a bad start then it could get very tricky for us. Hopefully a couple of our injuries will be healed by then and we will have a much better looking 11.

5 or 6 signings are needed, for Christ Sake sign a bloody world class winger this summer, it has to be priority number one, every game we miss chance after chance because we're relying on purely Vardy to score. It's a rare sight if anyone else actually scores. I'd like to see a target man signed, but Rodgers won't do that. Signing Big Giroud for 10m or so or a foreign tank would be nice.

Keep Thomas and Choudary in the squad for next season, both look like they can handle the pressure of the EPL. I'm not sure about Hirst, it will depend on if we sign another striker.

Either way, regardless of the competition we're in, we're still gonna be watching European football next season. Even if we can't go to the games we can still have our European tour, see you all there.

Spot on with the mentality. That's the point I've been saying recently. His pre match conference for this game was a disgrace.

He's trying to cover his arse for his failure. 5th is great. But CL should have been ours. Mentality starts with the manger. The team's mentality is shocking. We had dips with Pearson but he turned them around. Rodgers will be relieved that this was a mini season with the restart.

Generally proud of the performance.

We played in the manor that imo gave us the best chance to win and made an expensive United side look average with a team containing ageing pro’s and fledgling talents.

It was just a shame we ****ed up when we did - I’m certain had we got to the drinks break at 0-0, the second part of our plan would have come into play and could have been potent as the pressure built on United.

Alas, it wasn’t to be - but hey, take the positives, restock and get ready to go again next season - because there are plenty of reasons to be cheerful.

The only way united were winning that was with help from VAR. The game was over when Schmeichel ****ed up!

If we can go into next season with a back 5 of Ricardo, Justin, Evans, Soyuncu and Chilwell/Thomas i will be confident of us having a good season. That is an extremely strong base to build from. Then if we can add a couple of competitive signings so if we get injuries again we are not screwed i'll be happy.

I would love it if we could get Sarr from Watford to support Vardy. I think those two would be lethal together.

I didn’t understand the pre match optimism of many. It’s one game, come on lads etc.

There have been numerous games over the past few weeks where they could have made a stand but have produced performances riddled with mistakes, errors and the odd total mind feck of a poor individual decision both on the pitch and off it. They simply weren’t up to it on so many levels.

Today’s errors aside we didn’t play that badly, never looked like really scoring but with our record of late all United had to do was make sure they didn’t concede before we handed them the opportunity to.

The Champions League spot was officially lost today but it should have been already confirmed in so many games earlier in the season.

Underwhelming. Few players getting too comfortable, Kasper needs a rocket up his arse.

Justin was great, Thomas did well and that's genuinely about it. It shouldn't have come to the final game, it did, and we showed nothing.

Thank **** this season is done with.

Agree with all of that.

Kasper has been a fantastic servant and kept us in certain games, but he is so stupid sometimes.

Anyone who says the first goal want Hamza's fault is mad, and I do like him but he put us in a stupid position there, were never going to score 2.

Need to make some big signings now, else we'll finish last in Europa league group and probably end up lingering mid table again. Pretty embarrassed at how we've bottled it from such a comfortable position. Time to take a break from social media I think.

How are people blaming the officiating?

Blantant penalty and every single free kick put in for us Evans arms were all over the place, Brendan got it right today in the way we set up, 2 moments of absolute stupidity cost us

We finished where we deserved to be

The fact we hardly laid a glove on UTD over 90 minutes and didn't put them under any pressure whatsoever tells you all you need to know.

They never believed they could win this game. Mentally we've been shot since Xmas.

So many gifted goals, mistakes and lapses of concentration since the restart.

Work to do in the summer.
