6 points from the 1st 2 games and I'll have more optimism, anything less that 4 and it'll be a long season. Vardy (who granted is streaky) was far from sharp after the restart and I think he'll get his lowest tally since our 1st Prem season.

Can see fans losing patience early (rightly or wrongly) if obvious efforts aren't made to change post lockdown form.

Is that a genuine prediction? Can't say I could really blame you if it is

It is, I have a horrible feeling in my gut that we’re going to have a hangover from last season. Had we have recruited better I probably wouldn’t be so pessimistic. But I just don’t think we’ve got enough depth and quality to cope with the Europa league and the domestic commitments.

I don’t think we will be in a relegation scrap but it wouldn’t surprise me if we were either.

Okay, that would be our worst season since promoted, have we really been that terrible recently?

What other 13 teams do you think will be better... just curious. I’m worried about how we played since January, but we have pretty much kept our good players bar Chilwell... I think we will challenge top 6 but fall short

Liverpool

Man City

Man Utd

Chelsea

Spurs

Wolves

Southampton

Everton

Leeds(??)

Sheff Utd(??)

It's hard to see 13 teams being better than us, but if you aren't the big six, 1 bad season can land you anywhere in the league.

I won't dwell on our poor pre season too much, as I'm not aware of anybody else's preparations. They may all be struggling for games/players. But in isolation, it seems woeful.

To be honest I was hoping we might sign another 2 or 3, and still hopeful we will... but if we can keep vardy, nididi, tielemans, maddison and Ricardo fit for the majority of the season we will be just fine. Praet and Perez are handy too... we aren’t that bad. Just short on numbers I guess. I think there are a few teams out of the so called top six that are similarly reliant on their core players

Don't blame you, might be worth a bit to soften the blow. Based on a number of things I can see this being a disastrous season

I think we'll get away with it just based on a few being worse than us but I agree completely with your concerns. How can we be thinking like this with one of the top paid managers in the league?

With the squad as of TODAY:

League - 14th

Europa - first KO round after group stages

Carabao - 4th round

FA Cup - s/final or finalists

POTY - Maddison/Vardy

If we sign 2-3 new players, all bets are off!

You think we'll be worse than 3 of; Fulham, WBA, Leeds, Newcastle, Palace, Sheff Utd, Brighton ?
