He's been a bit of a comedy figure for alot of fans over the years here, but lately I'm genuinely pleased to see him start.

Just a good backs-to-the-wall defender!

Think he's been the victim of his own versatility at times. Didn't look like a makeshift centre back tonight

One of the biggest criticism of him has been his ability on the ball, but his passing was excellent tonight. Also read the game well.

So how many players are we losing to Afcon???? Does that take us close to postponements?? 🤔

Ndidi, Amartey, Iheanacho and Mendy.

And probably not.

Always been an honest pro and given 100% wherever he’s played on the pitch. I think we can all agree though that he is actually a very decent centre half.

We should have Barnes, Justin, Soyuncu, Daka, maybe Evans all back before the Burnley game on the 15th.

Soyuncu and Daka is pushing it if they're out for 3 weeks.

Clearly miles ahead of Vesty and Soyuncu at this moment in time, can't understand why he hadn't played more. Shame he's now fookin off to Africa for a month.

Looks like he's benefited a lot from getting a decent run in the team, and is definitely not looking like a third-string player anymore...  I'm not sure if Soy or Evans are worthy of replacing him atm, given their form/fitness...  (How's Little Wes doing?)  Shame about AFCON...

So chuffed with his performance, gives so much commitment and effort. I think both Amartey and Soyuncu have looked at their best alongside Ndidi.

While Ndidi doesn't have the positioning qualities of more experienced defenders, you know he'll work hard, be reliable and compete for headers. That suits our other central defenders as they know Ndidi will cover them.

Absolutely loved his reaction to some vital blocks near the end. Some real passion on show. He is a bit limited as a footballer but he is prepared to put his body on the line. I really think that he is a good asset, big up Daniel Amartey
