This could easily end up in court, in order to prove the reason he is refusing to play, he cannot arbitrarily decide he is not going to play, without a good reason.

a player is entitled to say he feels too injured to play

I’m glad we never sold him to Arsenal, I’ve every faith he will eventually come good and there’s no way I’m going to knock or berate him constantly, but for the love of Pete, please give him a game or 2 off.

Find it really sad to see Madders playing like this, so much talent but he looks totally lost. 

 

Mad to think that 18 months ago there was a genuine debate about who was better Madders or Grealish. Now, arguably, Madders isn't even one of our best 11 players.

 

Really hope he can regain his confidence.

He worked hard defensively first half but he did get a knock. I think people are being a bit hard on him. I hope he's not going to be this week's Perez.

Hes not a bad player but he's in really bad form. Rodgers needs to take him out of the starting 11. Last season against Man C he came off the bench, scored a worldy and had a really good game when he came on. Think he could have been more useful off the bench today than starting. He probably won't start against Napoli as Perez will take his place 🤦‍♂️

Which matter wht, no one mention these sort of things when a player is playing well.

 

If he was getting pissed and being photographed fall out of nightclubs at 3am I can understand it.

 

But beating him with that stick makes no sense.

I hate having to point out the lack of contribution from some of ours forwards but A) that's what they're in the team to do and B), it's difficult to argue against numbers.

Sorry but we're carrying him. Amazing to consider we compared him to grealish a year ago. Yes hes had an injury, but hes not denanding the ball, holding it up to watrant four starts.

 

Nacho offers good hold up and linking to vards. Also more goal threat.

Nacho far better option at the moment …. Maddison for ‘other’ games till he pulls his finger out.  
 

Perhaps try Praet as a starter ….  oh hang on a minute !
