We missed three key first team players - Ndidi, Maddison, Pereira, and the Bredan set us up completely wrong. 3 at the back against a lone forward?

Once we gave that early goal away that was it, West Ham just put 10 behind the ball and hit us on the break knowing that we only had one creative player on the pitch and no hope of breaking them down. Vardy had like 2 touches the entire game.

We badly need Maddison and Pereira back asap.

It was a master class from Moyes and his Team carried it off to perfection.

We've done it to others so we just have to suck it up and move on.

We were never going to go undefeated all season anyway.

For me, it was a mixture of Moyes having a decent game plan along with us missing our important 2nd number 8 in Praet/Maddison

Actually more so than these I think we missed Praet, we needed that box to box midfielder breaking lines which unfortunately we didn't do. Tielemens clearly has a good understanding with him and they play well together, but Youri today was pretty poor without him

I think it was a combination of that plus today I do think BR got his tactics and formation wrong.

It was a few things. I don't think Maddison would have added anything as he tends to slow play down in certain area's.

Praet certainly was missed both for his tenacity and his passing and shooting ability.

I think we missed Praet. Agree with the set up comment.

...noticeably Wolves were made to look very poor against these in their last league game!!!

Wolves are no mugs and Nuno has the nous to adapt to formation changes and tactics, has West Ham found a way to stifle progressive clubs or were we both complacent in our approach to this game.

The pivotal aspect of this game to me it seemed was that Perez was ineffective in his role and we were missing Praet in the positions Perez took up with openings being created and Perez not finding the right pass. He just could not link the play with wayward passing and weakness when in possession and bringing Nacho on, took too long.

Both us and wolves did exactly the same thing. 3 cbs occupying one striker.

This plays into the hands of the worst footballing team (no disrespect to west ham) but it’s pretty obvious to me.

I know we had squad limitations but we but we gave them a chance today by setting up the same way as them.

Had we gone into this with Perez in the Maddison role and albrighton/under I’m quite sure we would have won.

Fair play to West Ham. They did to us what we did to Man City. They played out of their skin and wanted it more than us.

I was disappointed in the system we started with. Although we were short on numbers we could have gone with a more creative line up. We missed Praet and Maddison but could have played Choudhury instead of Amartey and pushed Tielemans further forward. Perez and Barnes seemed confused as to where they were playing and Mendy was exposed.

Should have made changes at half time but left it too late.

All in all a positive start to the season with Villa up next. Another 3 points and it’s an excellent start.

Now the dust has settled, it doesnt seem quite as horrific albeit we were still awful.

For the West Ham system to work they needed every player having at least at 8 out of 10 game and that happened today. On their forum I've even seen numerous people say its the best they've played in over 5 years.

If we play 4 at the back and get some of our injured players back then we'll be fine against the other fodder in the league.

To me you are absolutely spot on.

It felt like we were playing 5-2-3 all game.

Perez was getting bullied, the midfield was getting overrun and Youri/Mendy could not contain the midfield for 90 mins.

Taking Perez off early doors and putting on Choudhury with his combative style could have helped ease the pressure on Mendy and also giving us an extra man in midfield. This would have allowed Youri to go slightly more forward to make the killer pass.

Most Managers including Rodgers never seem to make early 1st Half  tactical changes if they think the game plan isn't working. The only one I know does it is Mourinho.

We move onto the next game.

We were out-thought and out-played. No luck involved; we should have done better.

The line-up was conservative and that proved to be a mistake. In the current situation teams should attack early because the absence of no fans makes it difficult to come back later on.

Keep reading all the comments and really upset that Cags the only one to be picked as a scapegoat.

He wasn't at his best but before executing him on front of the firing squad how about we all looking at,

- Evans is not a speedster because if his age and it leaves Cags  to deal with the contra attacks.

- Both left and right backs contribution was next to nothing today. Watch the 3rd goal we've conceeded today. Youri was the last man trying to defend at the back while Cags facing the attacker by himself.

- When you start the game with both Barnes and Perez, this put extreme pressure on midfielders because these two's don't possess defensive qualities. This was very luxurious choice for BR.

When your midfield under pressure it puts your defenseman under pressure plus if you have over 30's CD plus crazy attack living wingers, poor Cags were fighting a loosing battle.

Gents, before blaming one of the brightest defender of Europe whom Barcelona to pay $100 mil,  please watch the game one more time and find out where were the other defenders and their position when we conceded 3 goals. I guarantee you all that Cags was there battling by himself stop to be happened.

Trust me, most of the fans have their own individual scapegoats

Cags didn't play to his normal level today but you can say the same for almost all the others.

Puel done it also. But apparently he wasn't good enough.

I don’t think anyone is singling Cags out, but he had his worst game for us, he was a solid 3/10. No one on the pitch played well, everyone was poor, hence why we were so easily beaten.

Maddison could have ‘added’ support for Vardy, picks up fouls (perhaps another PK ), goal attempts (as he’s not afraid to shoot even if he misses more than scores), creativity and his intangibles. We were definitely poorer today without him (and without the alternative of Praet, who brings different qualities to the game).

Let's be honest here.

Soyuncu seems to  get away  with  bad performances and no criticism.

He was not very good today.

The first goal  was all him.

The second goal was mostly him, even though amartey played the runner on, soy should've looked across the line before stepping up and calling for offside.

The third was due to  chasing the game and Teilemans falling asleep with a runner near him.

As much  as i like him, he does seem to  have a brain fritz a bit too often.
