The fiancée visa for the UK thankfully we hired a lawyer so made it more legit for our application. The turnaround thankfully wasn’t too just 6 weeks

Ah not too bad then. 👍🏽 Hope you have a very special wedding - will be all the better due to the circumstances 😃

Contactless payment is down in Fosse Park Sainsburys. It's the beginning of the end.

Expecting there to be Triffids outside

Was the same in the one on Melton Road, think they'd had a software update that had gone wrong. Queues were terrible.

Wasn't too bad to be fair, they had people on the entrance saying what would and wouldn't work. My chip and pin payment went through fine

IPA is not a beer. Beer is pints of real ale bitter. IPA is just a fancy lager. I don’t care if you use facts to disagree. IPA is bollocks and I’m bored with beardy pony tails thinking it isn’t. Go stick your overpriced SpecialNameFancyCanWithHintOfGrapefruit in the bin.

Is it easy to brew or something? It's certainly not easy to drink.

It's EVERYWHERE, but why?

It's not even that nice either.

If any of you have boys at secondary school - have you noticed that they need to have something else on a screen whilst they do their homework?  As if they need a distraction in order to concentrate.  It does my head in because I can’t understand it.  I mentioned it to a friend of mine who is a teacher and he said that this age group are so used to multi tasking with different media that just having one thing to focus on doesn’t work for them,

If this chimes with any of you, have you noticed it apply to any of your daughters ?

My youngest daughter used to do that, also always had music playing in earphones whilst working. It used to drive me mad but she insisted that it helped her to concentrate…

It seemed completely counter intuitive to me.

As it turned out, it didn’t do her any harm as she went on to achieve brilliant A level results, got a first in Aerospace Engineering, did her Masters at UCL and has recently started working for a major company specialising in radar and satellite.

Ours can’t even watch a film without having a device on the go. It doesn’t help them focus, it facilitates procrastination.

Music playing whilst doing homework isn’t a new thing though - that’s more of a background thing and I can cope with that

but visual screen activity - like having a tv series playing on an adjacent pc screen or iPad seems way too distracting to me

Saying that, I always have a TV series or scrolling news on while I’m writing - but if it’s something important rather than filler I’ll have music instead.

Every time there is some social media spat it's them

I did enjoy one of their fans counting Wembley appearances on twitter yesterday and getting it wrong.
