Can’t believe that most people are as interested in these film award ceremonies as the media would have us believe based on the coverage given

My guess would be the majority are the luvvies and the vacuous section of society that think being a "celebrity" makes them somehow important. The type that read "OK" magazine or "Hello"

Whereabouts?

On the M6 earlier. My wife spotted it first. The car next to me hit the barrier on the exit and then 50 or so feet later, I saw four cars in a pile. I’d just driven all the way back from Bristol and it made me realise I’d hardly spent any attention to the road. Scary really.

While I agree with the above, frankly it’s nice to have a bit of light news given the state of the world.

Sadly the previous responses are correct.

Just seen a clip of Danny Ward‘s howlers at Brighton last season. Ruined my day.

It seems annoying that he hasn't asked to leave on-loan even in the transfer windows to try and prove himself again.

Elon Musk posts the lamest piece of crap on X and gets 185,000 likes, and I post something brilliant about how much I like my dehumidifier and that gets 1 like from a pornbot about 6 weeks later.

Actually I'm not complaining, this arrangement works pretty well for me

Will the new B&M store at Beaumont Leys allow you to cut through like Wilkos did?

I'd imagine the building layout will be the same and having 2 entrances/exits will attract more footfall.

Unless you were thinking of going in one end and stuffing your pockets full of items off the shelves then legging it out of the opposite exit?

Got a car insurance quote online last night from the Meerkats,  expecting the worst actually came in lower by £80 on last year’s premium. Got my renewal quote this morning £120 up on last year.

I went online told them the cheaper quote and they actually bought it down by £180, albeit I would be losing protected NCD. I absolutely hate them when they do this crap.

I’m going to move.

After dipping into the match thread occasionly during the match I didnt know whether to laugh or cry at some of the comments in there. We have the weirdest fan bases going 😂

I'm not sure that is the case. On the odd, rare occasions I've gone onto other teams boards, you get the same sort of comments you see on FT.

It's just your average football fans.

A couple of interesting, if rather depressing, articles on the Beeb.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-68402139

I've said it before, but the issue here is that women in South Korea have less de facto rights than in, say, the UK, but have more than in, say, Saudi Arabia. That means that they can't balance motherhood and a career, but then they're free to choose either as well, so you get this situation. Government doesn't seem to have a clue other than to throw money at it.

On the one hand, you do wonder if we were ready for social media and all it can do. On the other, this particular platform seems to only have become a bigger problem once Elon took it over and relaxed the restrictions.
