Not enough is made of the fact that Short Term Cost Control is what held us back after we won the league. We couldn't increase our wage bill by more than 7% annually, and therefore we couldn't compete in the transfer market with the traditional 'big' teams.

 

I now believe that has been in a blessing in disguise. Look at Arsenal paying £350k a week to a player to not play. Where are they now? And look at Man Utd, who can afford to pay a world record fee for Maguire and pay him 3x what we were. Let's let those two make very, very expensive mistakes. It genuinely suits us. 

 

This training ground will give us a competitive advantage over most of the league - just imagine where we'll be in the next 10 years.

I’m impressed seeing it every time I drive in or out of my village, night time is best obviously as it’s lit up like a Christmas tree, I even noticed it from Kendal Road/ Avenue Road junction last night which is the first time I have seen it from that spot.

 

It’s a bit like the Eiffel Tower or the Shard popping up in all odd locations when it’s dark.

Is today the day? Or tomorrow if today is day off?! I wanna see that silky video of the players seeing it for the first time. Madders doing an Ali G finger click and Kasper hugging Top. Birch and the tea lady flirting in a canteen that looks like something off a Kubrick set.

Before the training ground plans were announced,I never thought in a million years we’d get a facility like that.

The pictures are just breathtaking.

Really exciting times ahead for this football club.

Looking forward to a stadium announcement whenever that will be.:rolleyes:

Curious where you heard that. I haven't seen or heard a peep from him about sports psychology since he left Liverpool. Happy days if he's still a believer in the power of psychology. Thoughts create reality and all that. Always looking for an edge.

So we have @Billynomates& John Percy to rely on for news. And thank them we do!
 

The biggest investment in the club’s history, and not a peep from the club. In this respect, that’s hopeless. We are rarely given any reason to knock the senior management at the club, but on this project their comms have been dreadful
