If Ricky doesn't play against Spurs and we lose, Cooper will get slaughtered by the Fans, And rightly so.

Ricardo and Fatawu are comfortably our best pairing on the right. With Winks and NDiddi in the middle. Why would he undo something that worked so very well for us last season.

What Cooper should be working on is developing a similar strong partnership on the left with Mav where last season Mav tended to operate alone.

I'm not sure JJ has the engine  now after his injury to get up and down like Ricky does on the right. Which is maybe why he's trying Victor there. Who I don't think is good enough.

No, he's a full back.

Cooper said on 10th November it would be 3-4 months

With his kind of injury there's probably a lot of individual work to be done to rebuild muscle and strength around the injured area.

Probably be another 6-8wks (?) before he's even playing for the u21s and then get fit enough to play PL games.

Absolutely awsome RB, however hes always biffed, i think he will never be the same player,  even if he gets fully fit its unusual for players to push 100% in games, as in the back of their minds they try to protect themselves, unfortunately the old ricky is gone. An 80% ricky would greatly improve on what we have though

Can see him being deployed further forward if he gets back in time. Can't see him, Justin and Woyo fighting for one spot.

Justin & fighting in the same sentence!

I and my son managed a few words with Ricky as he was arriving at the ground at our last home game in his stunning Aston Martin SUV.

Asked him when he'll be back and he said around a month.

So that’s last game of the season then for a farewell before he heads back to Portugal

Oh is he back this season? Could be useful.

I would dispute how useful he would be. In the unlikely event he avoids any setbacks or new injuries He's gonna take fooking ages to get match sharp and even when he does he's nowhere near the same player since his first ACL he lost all his explosiveness that day. He could do a job in the championship in Enzo's weird semi central midfield position but not in the premier league as an out and out right back he doesn't drastically improve the team for the 1 or 2 months he would be available for in a best case scenario.

Wonder if JJ will play at left back again.  Position he used to play in.

Having him back would be huge for our chances of survival.

A fit Ricky P is twice the player of any of our other defenders, let alone full backs.

Please don't rush back, my sweet angel.

No idea where he fits in, maybe RW, maybe CM. I doubt him physically at right back now unless it's the very bespoke role he played last season.

Would love to see him back enjoying his football though, even if eventually that's away from us

“Ricardo Pereira is making good progress in his comeback and he’s part of team training, so hopefully in the coming weeks he can do more and be part of games as well.

Still 9 games after the international break, could be massive this.

It will be a huge boost, Ruud may be tempted to go for 3-4-2-1 in possession.

I can see him playing further up to be honest, less impact on him and balance us out more with a lack of Abdul?
