Perez or Iheanacho? Poll

So after seeing both starting up top in the past month who would you be starting?

Ayoze Perez easily imo. Better touch, better control, better link up play, better technique.

 

Perez has his flaws, he can go missing and he can get bullied out of the game. But he is a better option than Iheanacho.

Perez offers us more as a false 9 option and could work well with the pacy wingers we have. He's more versatile and can see him fit in more in the side we have. 

 

Iheanacho is less consistent. Less reliable and you never know which kind of player you'll get. Although I think it's predictable what you'd get more often than not.

Perez gets first go, more likely to get best out of the others. Iheanacho is a better goalscorer though so he may be better suited against Leeds and Fulham. I think Maddison is tested for one of Leeds/Fulham and they will both start together.

Both are poor as a lone striker but perez has more to his game.

 

Ideally, we'd sign a new player but cant see that happening for a while...

Perez has excellent qualities as a second striker or a “Number 10”, he doesn’t have the right qualities to be a proper number 9 and never will have.

 

He is our new Shinji Okazaki, simple as that.

Pere could be a good false 9 if we train him well imo. He has all the attributes to do well there.

Perez is my pick, more versatile. He can play on the wing or as a false 9, neither of which Iheanacho would be effective. He is an out and our striker who is short of confidence, and you don't know which side of him is going to turn up.

 

Perez has the trickery and can cause problems but his end product is somewhat lacking, so he needs to "get his numbers up". Maybe he too needs a sit down with Brendan and Jack the Analyst and see how he can improve his game in the final third.

We may need the others to contribute goals as they've been doing.

Exactly what I think.

 

Perez is obviously more of a second striker, he comes so deep at times, but out of the both I'd choose Perez.

 

We do need another good centre forward too.

Nacho for me out of the 2, if they have to play as a striker. Nacho plays higher up the pitch and is more of a target / focal point.  Perez plays too deep.

 

Would much prefer us to sign another striker though. Ings and Edouard being my top 2 choices.

Exactly this. Perez can be great at times but he doesn't give you a focal point. Nacho's touch can be magnetic (both the attraction and repellent of a magnetic depending on which side of the bed he got out of). We've got away with it against a couple of teams in the division below but I think we'd be at a loss against some of the better teams in this league if the team doesn't have somebody up there to play it to, no matter how good or bad they are!

I’m surprised we’ve not seen it suggested but I actually would love to see under play there. He’s a menace and is quick and has a good finish.

Perez for me, sadly Nacho’s a player low on confidence and I don’t think he is going to show enough movement to cause Everton many problems.
