I think I’ve got it, after much examination.

In a nutshell - if everything was completely different this is what the table would look like.

So Leeds have played one, have one point, and have scored 49 goals, I bet that 49-49 draw was a great advert for the premier league

That's Bielsaball in a nutshell

I get it. I think the idea was to make the disparities more stark, make plain who can catch whom and so on, treating Villa as point 'played 30' and then all other totals being the number of points more all those above have.

League table, assuming just an 8 game season. Top 4 Champions League, maybe just top 3.

Position Team Played Points         GD                    Goals                scored
1 Man City 2 30 44 67
2 Man Utd 1 19 27 61
3 Leicester City 1 12 18 55
4 West Ham 1 11 12 51
5 Chelsea 1 10 19 50
6 Liverpool 1 8 16 53
7 Tottenham 1 5 17 52
8 Everton 0 4 3 41
9 Arsenal 1 1 8 43
10 Leeds 1 1 0 49
11 Aston Villa 0 0 10 43

Man Utd are on course to romp it with their 19 pts/game average.
