Didn't the club advertise a position for a gardener at Seagrave. Maybe he could literally be on gardening leave. He surely can't be any worse as a gardener than he is as a football manager right now. Cant wait for him to blame the hose pipe, the mower and the hedge trimmer when standards slip.

Brendan Rodgers will still be in charge of Leicester for the Aston Villa, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest games with no decision to be made on his potential sacking until after these games #lcfc #notintheknow

I hope he has invested in some ear muffs if that's the case

If @PAPA LAZAROU info is correct then the emergency board meeting should be in full flow and hopefully the departure of Rodgers ratified and announced

Don't hold your breath mate.

We are contracted to pay Brendan for the next 3 years if we sack him and he sits on his arse for that time period.

If he get another job in that time period are payments to him stop.........I think or maybe wrong 🤷

...no, "gardening leave" would see him sit at home and we will still continue to pay him until he found another role!!!

Theoretically he could sit at home for those three years but that would be highly unlikely. We would then have to agree a payment (coming back to the premise of a short term stay on gardening leave) when he takes up his new role.

It would work out to be cheaper in the long run.

Ive just been in the Morrisons near the ground and beaten to a 39p reduced steak slice by a bald man with a gravelly voice telling me he needs to save pound notes.

Make of that what you will.

Look how quickly chelsea are snapping up potter. If we had sacked brendan last week,, he would be our manager right now.

What are we waiting for.

There is absolutely nothing to gain having Brendan in charge over a caretaker ... other than potential someone takes him, but the chance of that diminishes after each game

His family moved back up to Manchester as they thought Leicester was too far. Can't see Brighton being an option for him? But let's hope I'm wrong!

His family could move to London with the Brighton job - they’re not goi g to be opposed to that.

There was no way we were supposedly paying £10 million to sack Rodgers… and then spend another £16 million plus ongoing wages to appoint Potter.

(And I suspect Potter would have said ‘no’ to us as well)

Brighton don’t want him. Or at the very least there are a few people above him in their list.

Like the majority of our peripheral players Brendan has the double threat of not being good enough for Brighton whilst also not being affordable for them. Total non-starter.

I don’t think he would be tbf, probably looking at £30m+ in compo for the pair

That is also if Potter would come, and seems like Tuchel wasn’t that out of the blue either so Potter or his agent will probably have heard rumblings about it

If he's still here for Villa which it's looking likely, the best outcome will be for us to win and then  Gerrard gets sacked and Villa appoint Rodgers.

Imagine if this happened and he refused to join Villa and pledged his loyalty to Leicester. Think at that point, folding the club would be the only way forward 🤣

She wanted to move closer to her extended family in Manchester that's why they moved back.

Not sure why people care where he ends up. It could be northampton town or oadby town for all I care.

Just as long as we don't have to put up with his shite football.

Contact was quickly made with Brighton, who gave their approval for talks with Potter to commence with Chelsea prepared to pay the buyout clause of around £20million.

they have enough to get BR and pay him his first years salary just from the compo
