Ghezzal

Recommended Posts

...you just wish he could have bought that attitude to his game while he was with us!!!

It must be daunting for some players to attempt to fit into our team setup, with the personalities already at the club. It has been said that players have found the group very welcoming when they arrive but for some people, it will be difficult to integrate, due to their own personality.

Monaco now apparently interested, Besiktas going to "make sacrifices" to meet our €7million asking price

Club ‘will make all kind sacrifices’ to sign Leicester player – Have upper hand on competition

If there’s one certainty out there these days, it’s that Leicester City’s Rachid Ghezzal has benefited from his loan move to Beşiktaş this season.

Operating as a right winger, he has starred for the Süper Lig side, scoring five goals and registering 17 assists in 28 league matches.

The Algeria international’s fine displays have helped him regain his place in the national team and have also convinced the Istanbul based club to try and make the 28-year-old’s stay permanent.

However, according to En Son Haber, the Foxes owned player’s performances this term have caught AS Monaco’s attention, where the winger previously spent one season before moving to the King Power Stadium in 2018.

In fact, it’s claimed Monaco have ‘started negotiations’ with Brendan Rodgers’ side for the forward.

Aware of the French club’s interest, the Turkish club are planning to make a ‘counter move’ to retain the attacker.

Beşiktaş’ management want to keep Ghezzal, and therefore, ‘will make all kind of sacrifices’ to meet the €7m fee requested by Leicester.

Over the weekend, Ghezzal’s agent Hakan Korkmaz also admitted his client wants to continue in Turkey, giving his current side the upper hand over Monaco.

“Sergen Yalçın [Beşiktaş manager] is one of the biggest reasons why he wants her to stay here. Because he gained confidence with Yalçın. He hasn’t been to the national team in about three years. He hasn’t played in a long time, he’s started playing, he’s got confidence,” Korkmaz told Beyaz TV, as relayed by Sporx.

I love how when some of these clubs want to sign one of our players they are quoted as "preparing a counter offer" /" willing to make sacrifices"/ working  tirelessly to make a deal happen" - how about just paying the price or f*** off

Fenerbahçe now interested in him! Should definitely help us get closer to the amount of money we want for him

Club’s effort to take Leicester player leaves rival unhappy – ‘First bid’ made to Foxes

Leicester City’s Rachid Ghezzal has regained his best form while on loan at Beşiktaş this season.

The winger has seven goals and 17 assists in 33 matches and has played a vital role in helping the Turkish club sit on top of the league table.

His contract with the Foxes will expire in 2022 and Beşiktaş have the intention to buy the ex-Lyon man in the next market.

Takvim state there’s a ‘surprise’ in the chase for the 29-year-old as Fenerbahçe have emerged as a new suitor.

The Yellow Canaries ‘contacted’ Brendan Rodgers’ side after their sporting director, Emre Belözoğlu, gave his approval to sign the Algerian. His market value is around €9m and it’s stated Fener have made the ‘first bid’ for Ghezzal.

As per the report, Fenerbahçe plan to ‘hit two birds with one stone’ by making an approach for the player owned by the English club.

Ghezzal’s arrival will not only help Fener strengthen their squad, but it will also ‘deprive’ their arch rival, Beşiktaş, of an important player. Leicester have an intention to sell the wideman and are pleased with the new developments.

Beşiktaş, however, are ‘not happy’, and Fenerbahçe’s interest in the attacker has now made Leicester’s hand ‘stronger’ as more suitors will only drive Ghezzal’s price ‘even higher.’

17 assists in a league season is bloody good going, no matter the standard.

Should be able to get a few million for him.

Anywhere near £10mill would be lovely, realistically if we can get £8mill that wouldn't be too bad

Can see why he struggled here, the lads he's crossing to in that video can score with their head

There also appears to be no defending in that league either.

Got a TOTS card today on FIFA due to his outstanding performances this season lol.

There is no denying he has been impressive this season. As of now, his stats in the Turkish Süper Lig are 6 goals and 17 assists with 2 more matches remaining... Playing a huge role in carrying Beşiktaş to a potential league title victory.

Could've saved ourselves 30M by playing Gezzal over buying Perez😁

He’s always had talent, just lacked the physicality and that potentially knocked his confidence.

Cash in whilst the demand is high.

We now need to get Benkovic a similar deal now.
