Zear0 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Horrible cliche, but it is difficult against 10 as they just dig in and we don't get chances on the break. Having said that, can't say that's not a squandered opportunity m Slightly worried about last 20 mins or so. All this talk after the Palace game of keeping our football principles and the goal will come. It was just hoof long and ambitious long shots. Concern being I perceived that as us getting in a flap. I didn't think we'd get 9 points from the games preceding the final three, just as I don't think we'll get beat in each of those. Still in our hands and hopefully some other results will go our way. Credit to Southampton as they really stifled us. 3 1
oxtonfox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 (edited) We got a wake up call tonight, too complacent. A little too casua and not quick enough. We had the chances but the finishing was way off. Really should have beaten a 10-man and out of form team. A gift for 3 points and almost contrived to lose the match. Poor result Edited 30 April 2021 by oxtonfox sp 1
maynefox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Absoulte disgrace. Where was the urgency until we went 1v0 down? No composure from anyone in front of goal except our CB. Maddison? I honestly don't know what he offers to our team..he is meant to be the one who unlocks defence but I'm not seeing that. Now isn't the time for passengers. Feeling like punching a wall. So frustrating. Honestly think these players are brain dead half the time. Schmeichel's kick at the end summed it up. What a massive opportunity that was and we were lucky to get a point. Embarrassing.
TeamRocket Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Just was not clinical with finishing, Vardy needs to wear his scoring boots and need to start finishing teams when we have the upper hand
Popular Post Ian Nacho Posted 30 April 2021 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2021 I genuinely don’t think it was as bad as people make it out to be. We weren’t at our best, but literally nothing fell for us. 7 1

It'sblueupnorth Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Why is everyone saying 2 pts dropped when we were never winning the game? Totally mismanaged and a lost opportunity maybe...
foxinsox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 If we couldn't break down Southampton, Chelsea are going to be much harder.
Fox85 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Southampton had 10 men on the pitch Leicester had 7 Atleast 4 players shouldn't get paid this week
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Looking forward to the idiots who blame a back 5 and luke thomas.
FoxOnWheels Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 NEED to beat Newcastle now then that might not be such a bad point
HitchinFox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Against a decent team, a draw at this stage of the season, in our situation, would've been ok. A 10-man Southampton, though...
FerrisBueller Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 That was ****ing horrible, pretty unacceptable at this level. Massive opportunity pissed up the wall.
baldeagle Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Awful display but we didn’t lose that’s the main thing . Thought the games caught up with us tonight we looked so leggy . Still a point in the right direction next game please
Popular Post Fox seen in Norwich Posted 30 April 2021 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2021 Some of the comments on the match thread and this thread really are cringeworthy. Embarrassed to read them at times 8
Ricey Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Could prove so costly. Sending off probably made it harder for us as we reverted to our usual slow, passive, static selves. We wasted too long persisting with 3 at the back and Thomas. That just clearly wasn’t working. Having said that we’ve had more than enough chances late on to win it but as had been the case recently we just aren’t clinical enough.
Tuna Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Look we win that game if we didn't concede that silly free kick and penalty and Vardy remembered how to score goals. Red card changes the game completely and we didn't do enough. We're not bottling this. It's a point and given how we played and the scoreline at 60 minutes I consider it a good point. Credit to Evans for stepping up and rescuing it. 1
midland_red Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 well, you cant win them all, we got one point, but my concern is that it feels like a loss and could devastate morale if Brendan is not careful
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 If a team sits back then we can not find a way through. It feels like this has been going on for years. I suppose only the very top teams have the players to really create in that situation. Mahrez types. 1
Mike Oxlong Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 So poor tonight that I’m relieved to get a point Thought we looked fatigued Hopefully the 7 day break will see us come out all guns blazing v Newcastle next Friday
twister Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 feels like the lads are going to bottle this again great season but would be a shame to blow top four again
moore_94 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Just now, Chocolate Teapot said: Looking forward to the idiots who blame a back 5 and luke thomas. The instant the full time whistle went...
Md9 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 have we swapped Vardy for that lookalike as nothing is going in for him at the min
