Tuna Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Benitez was always a daft appointment, it was always going to go toxic when they went on a bad run.

I reckon if we keep calling games off, we will be still be 10th in April. If we win the 4 games we have in hand over W Ham we will be level with them. Easy! Edited 16 January 2022 by deep blue
Leicesterpool Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Rafa is still a decent coach, just the wrong club maybe, It's always difficult to take on a job where the fans dislike you and your back before you've started. They'll certainly be another job for him in the premier league.... Watford maybe?....

Benrhama is at the AFCON and replaced by a summer signing. They had Yarmelenko, Fredericks, Johnson, Masuaku and Areola on the bench. I think were fine to play 7

Was daft of him to go there in the first place after his L'pool connection and a clueless owner who personifies all that is wrong with many in that position. 1
FoxyLeon Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Am I right in thinking that should a team name 13 players in their 25 man squad who go to AFCON, you essentially get a winter break as you can't fulfil your league fixtures due to the 13 outfield player rule?

Everton have got the appointments wrong every time, quite harshly sacked Martinez, Koeman comes in over spends, struggle and still having to pay for that mess, Allardyce did a good job in turning the team round in short time got them a top ten finish but then harshly got sacked in the summer! Silva was awful, Ancelotti looked good on paper and signs he was certainly building something but then of course unluckily Real Madrid came calling and then in comes another risky appointment with Rafa.

ARTY_FOX Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Shame about Rafa. Was hoping he'd stay and try and get them back up. 1
ARM1968 Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Agent Rafa cementing his Liverpool legend status. Could have got a statue. So close.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 West ham have a few injuries and they've been poor for some time. Imagine my shock.

Super_horns Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 Martinez been linked with a return … Would he quit Belgium with a World Cup to come ?
Koke Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 How have Everton been in the Premier League since its creation and spent the money they have whilst having 1 trophy and zero CL campaigns and 2 or 3 EL campaigns? 1

The Bear Posted 16 January 2022 Posted 16 January 2022 He's already incredibly rich. I'd much rather have a World Cup win on my CV than a few extra million quid.
