I was working abroad last time we made the community shield, can anyone tell me how did ticketing work then? Priority system?

Given the PL hopes to start the season with full stadiums, cautiously optimistic that this might be one of the first events to be played with a full crowd!

We actually won this in 1971. Beat Liverpool 1-0. The match was actually played at filbert street and we, as second division champions were selected to play Liverpool, the fa cup runners up due to the fact arsenal had done the double and chose not to compete in favour of a more lucrative pre season tour of Europe.

would be nice to win it as FA cup holders

It was really easy to get a ticket last time. Seem to remember they refused to open it up to general sale which made a load more sign up for memberships.

Demand wasn’t that high on the last occasion. It’s holiday season.

Looking forward to a non coach, non Wembley High Street day.

The coach was like a school trip. Surreal.

I don't think it was, I am sure all season ticket holders could buy from the first day of sale, I mentioned it on here about why there wasn't an away priority system in place and someone said it is not an away game as such as it is a neutral venue, which I do agree with. But then so was the cup final.

Anyone have an idea of when the date will be confirmed. Have 22days until requests close for rota at work 🤣

Itll be the 8th August. Failing that the 7th but it's normally the Sunday

I was actually gutted when we lost to Utd.

Wether it's viewed as a friendly or not, it's a chance to see your captain lift a trophy at Wembley.

I'd be all over it💙

Hope we get the Tielemans End this time. Got sunstroke at the last one.

Wouldn’t worry... it’ll probably still be raining 😆
