Have you never been distressed in a situation and made, or wanted to make, a decision which your peers have tried to dissuade you from, or that you came to regret subsequently?

They aren't running into a burning building to save someone and endangering their own lives, they are playing a game of football. None of them will die from it, and maybe they feel it will help them cope better going forward.

I completed work the day my dad died, because the other option was go home at 10am and sit at home alone and wallow in my own thoughts. Thats all these guys are doing, going back to work.

I definitely think it should be their choice BUT I hope they haven’t been coerced

Why would you think they have?

I mean, in the context of this game, those are badly chosen words. But I will leave it at that. I respect your point of view albeit strongly disagree with it.

I’m sure you were top of your game for the rest of the day.

I just saw a Russian player and thought, 'he looks like just Yuri Zhirkov who played for Russia about 20 years ago.'

Turns out it was Yuri Zhirkov

Didn't matter though did it. It wasn't about me working, it wasn't about me getting my job done that day. My job didn't matter. It was about me doing what I felt was best for me.

I know Schmeichel will be disappointed with the goal but it was very close to him and he had to adjust, a yard either side and he saves it comfortably.
