And on a completely different topic, how is there only 2 mins added on after what must've been 5 mins of stoppage excl. Eriksen?

I will rephrase that to say you shouldn’t stop them from wanting to go ahead

And I will still disagree with that. Sorry.

I think more consideration should be given to player welfare here. It may be their decision but how can you think properly after experiencing that. If that happened to a colleague in my office, I wouldn't expect to have to crack on with the rest of my day.

I think this is a poor decision. Just my opinion.

Agree. And this is a little bit tougher because it's a team sport. If 10 of your teammates are saying they want to play, it would be a hard situation to say no to, even if you're the only one who isn't right to be there. They might also feel an obligation to the fans as well. I just feel someone should have made that decision for them, but like you that's just my opinion.

In any case, it's happening so I hope it passes without any further issues. Regardless of my view on whether it should be going ahead, fair play to all of the players - I'm finding it hard to get up for even watching it, I'm not sure how they're doing it.

I think they started it when he went down on 43?

Yeah, I'm just venting. IMO they could've just annulled the rest of the first half for all I care.

I can only relate by saying sometimes after distressing situations, I prefer to continue with what would have been routine otherwise. Of course, seeing him conscious will have had a big impact.

Sometimes, waiting after that sort of thing can have a bigger impact on your mental state.

Something feels really wrong watching the game now. Might give Russia Belgium a go instead

Obviously watch Belgium anyway. If you're a Leicester fan and don't support Belgium then you need to have a word. Fck England.

It’s all about context. Had the worst happened they wouldn’t be out here now, the fact Eriksen is alive and seems stable will probably spur them on. Denmark win this and it will probably mean more to Eriksen than it would have ordinarily.

Why are you fragile?

If you weren’t offended by it, fine.

I was so I’m going to complain, how does that affect your life in any way at all? lol

You're going to complain about something you were in control of seeing?

Bit weird. Really weird. Would love to know your reasoning, just to make sense of it

'Grown men', what kind of macho bull is that? These are human beings who have witnessed an extremely distressing thing happen to their friend and teammate. Players are visibly in shock out there. I would argue they're in no fit state of mind to make a decision like that. Not all will be as strong as Kasper and Simon Kjær in a situation like this.
But I will stand by them either way - just disappointed it was put to the players. This should automatically have been postponed. I couldn't give a sh*t about football right now.

Completely agree with this statement, I sometimes have to get involved in some traumatic incidents and in those scenarios you've got to remove the individual from the equation. Game should be off, they won't be in the correct frame of mind even though they think they will be.

Either way, here's hoping he makes a full recovery. An outstanding player who I enjoyed watching when he was at Spurs.

Did Pearce mention something about the images of Kasper embracing the Finnish team “staying with him for a long time”

Can anyone provide context?

I can only imagine that Eriksen himself has given his blessing or asked/requested the game continue.

A man who's suffered a cardiac arrest (most likely) making a decision like that? Yeah, he will totally have been in the right state of mind to say something like this. I would be staggered if he was put in a position to be posed a question like that.
