What we doing waiting for them to score, I don’t understand this pedestrian play with the players we have… it is not good enough, need to actually show some effort next half and get out of first gear

So pedestrian at times, to a man England have better players, sadly they are on the bench

I'd sack him at half time and get Wenger on a zoom call for the rest of the game.

Get Venables back

We should all save some energy and time by posting the entire NUFC home match thread and replace the word Leicester with England. Utter garbage from the boys in white.

Harry Kane is a proven goal scorer.  However, he is almost invisible in this England team.

I don't claim to know why that is, but it would behoove England to make some changes to bring Harry (and the rest of the team) into the match.

Kane might score tons of goals for his club, but he looks a bit pointless in this set up.  I hope he proves me wrong but Southgate has previoys for sticking with Kane when he's done in.

England playing a LOT of negative passes, backward passes and short meaningless exchanges.

There is no devil, not much attacking intent.

Grealish is needed.

Again is there any point in playing this way?  Even IF we do get through we'll be annihilated by most teams.

This is why I didn't understand those saying we'd thrash Scotland, we aren't capable of thrashing anyone in this tournament.

I fail to see a defined pattern of attacking play from England - it’s all a little bit slow on the hoof.

Yes, we’ve controlled the ball, but it’s all a bit predictable and Scotland have looked very comfortable apart from one set piece and a quick cross.

What I will say is that we were as bad as this in  the first half in 1996.

Dreadful, one header against the post and their keeper not having anything to do. Scotland knocking the ball around well and looking threatening.

He's definitely a proven scorer at Premier League level, but is the same true at top level international football?
