Can I introduce you please, to a lump of cheddar cheese?

Don’t mate, I’m taking my top off away from completing Gammon after my performance the other day.

I have to admit I'm desperately jealous of people that are as excited about all of this as much as we are for big Leicester games. I used to be like that and as much as I'm enjoying the tournament as a whole I don't get that nervous buzz like I did for say the fa Cup final for example. Would still love us to win it but there's a certain disconnect there for me

I was 2 months old when England won the WC, and they've given me nothing but disappointment since. I'll be damned if I'm going to miss out on the joy of England winning a major just because I'm old and tired! But it won't come close to Leicester winning the FA cup.

Yeah I'm genuinely jealous of anyone that is buzzing from it. I really want to. I think we've got a very decent chance of winning it so its not even pessimism of the team

Full backs are the weak points today for England.

Walker has been sloppy defensively and Shaw has given the ball away about 8 or 9 times.

Sancho and Sterling looking good.

Don't think we'll concede but would like that second goal clincher. So far so good though!

Too many false dawns cloud the mind… but we do have an excellent chance here, even despite the fact that in my mind, Southgate hasn’t found his best team yet (but he’s not far away).

Completely agree with this. Shaws been sloppy on the ball. Walker sloppy without it.

Sancho is too good at times, finds himself half way up the pitch with the ball and nobody near him.

BBC could do with hiring a new co commentator if we get to the final

Jenas said Sancho and Kyle Walker played together at Man City at one point 😂

They look like they can score I think, now they’ve changed their system

This should be over really but I don’t think it is by any means

There's no exhilaration to be had from beating a weak nation, even in a knockout game.

There's just the relief you don't get embarrassed.

The Germany game gave me tears in my eyes, I was so proud, even though the Germans aren't particularly strong at the moment.

A Lead, a clean sheet, some high tempo in the final third, so far so good....maybe I'm greedy but can we get on and put it to bed, 3 up then I can start to enjoy it. Four and a half games with no goal against is impressive at any level.

I think subconsciously I compare it to my feelings towards Leicester and it simply doesn't come close. I think the style of play doesn't help and my distain for the Premier league big 6 makes some of the players hard to fully back. And the way our pundits and commentators fawn over us is annoying. Damn I'm so grumpy lol

This is exactly how I feel. It’s more of a ‘nice, well done’ when England score. Unlike shouting like a crazy person when Leicester score.

Maybe it’s age, maybe I’m now spoilt by City actually winning things?
Maybe I just know where it’s heading after 86, 90, 96, 98, 02, 04, 06, 10, 12, 16 and 18… :(

Should have Rio Ferdinand as co comms. Sensible down to earth understands the game so much better than Jermaine Anus.

He came through their youth system (after starting at Watford)
