We’re supposed to believe that this is a team that prepare for every eventuality and we’ve needed up with 3 of our pens taken by 2 players who hadn’t touched it and a 19 year old who had put in one of the worst sub performances I’ve ever seen.

Honestly….. England should have won that in normal time for me, just 5% more and they would have won it.

 

Honestly thought that England couldn’t lose it at half time. 
 

However, not to wash the thread with negativity, this is a good bunch of players, they’re heading in the right direction, they will grow and they will succeed…. Give them 18 months and they will be ready for the World Cup.

Why didn't Shaw and Sterling take penalties? They are two experienced players in their mid 20s. Saka is 19 and Sancho is 21.

That's on Rashford and Sancho, as well as Southgate.

That's not on rashford and sancho, it's entirely on Southgate. You can't bring on guys 1 minute before the end and have them take pens. Theyve barely touched the ball all tournament. Put them on earlier and have a go at it, not just to take one kick.

Shocking subs, too late on. Give them 5 mins. Feel for Saka, no way should he have been 5th. Can’t stand players that don’t just  put their laces through pens.

Southgate is a bottler.  Always has been.  Will never change.

 

He sets the team up for damage limitation purposes, and gets what he wants and still manages to make decisions that make it as hard as possible to win.

 

His football is so ugly and negative to watch.  Such a shame.  We're better than this and that is what annoys me most.
