I mean it’s not the worst tackle I’ve ever seen but the scissor follow through (which would seem to have caused the injury) is totally unnecessary.

Don't be pathetic and start trolling the lad on social media. Yes it was a bad challenge but no footballer, bar Roy Keane, has ever gone in to a tackle to genuinely injure an opponent.

I'm sure he'll feel a huge amount of guilt for the outcome of that tackle, don't be a pr**k and lower yourself to the same level as a 13 year old girl sending death threats to Grealish's girlfriend.

Except he clearly retaliated for a slightly heavy tackle from Wes moments before. Dirty little shit **** deserves what he gets IMHO. Clue is in the name 'Friendly'.

He deserves more than trolling

He definitely went in to hurt Wes. No question

I would hardly call it a result!

He's out for a long stretch- it's sickening but that's a given.

If it's broken bones, they will heal and he'll be back stronger. Plenty of ligaments in play here with the way his leg seemed to bend though and that's a different story.

Sometimes, just absolutely nothing  can make you feel better. Sometimes there are simply zero upsides. And that's just the feelings  of a no.mark.punter like.me....let alone poor lil Wes.

Get well soon lil Wes.

Some people will, but he absolutely went in for revenge

Totally over the top. If you are annoyed give him a kick or a dig in the ribs and move on. Why the need to scissor somebody?

Looked like it to me. Flew in recklessly on the halfway line in a nothing situation because Fofana caught him a few minutes before. Naive to think otherwise IMO.

If you think no footballer has EVER gone into a challenge to injure an opponent then I don’t know what to say.

I don’t know if they realise it is just a friendly been a total disgrace… certainly never want to play them preseason again

I was delighted when they beat Man United on pens but on this evidence they are a club and a team without class and I hope Chelsea batter them in the UEFA Super Cup.
