Talk about tone deaf, jeez

And Villarreal is on the shit list too. And I used to like them messing up the spanish elite teams at times.

I was having a great time until Fofana got hurt. Now deflated.

Our injury record the last few seasons is unreal and we get hit with horrible ones to key players. Please stop it.

Fernando Nino is on the shit list. Doing his best Neymar because he did not get the freekick and then gets frustrated enough to challenge through like that in a friendly. Even manage to compose himself to get a goal. Complete waste of space.

Yeah, struggling atm to think of much else, as many on here have played the game, and know this guy got frustrated and broke a young lads leg, not many nice ways to put it.

So gutted for Fofana.

He's one of my favourite players, love his attitude. He has great mental strength and I believe he has the resilience to come through this.

I know we're all thinking of Fofana, but worth also reflecting on a brilliant 60 mins before that horrific incident.

Looks like we're finally a threat from set pieces with Bertrand's deliveries, he was superb. Ndidi did what he does best, while Soy was magnificent. He was the one Turkish player arguably who came out with any credit from the Euros, and looks like he is growing as a leader and taking responsibility.

And Barnes makes such a big difference to our attacking play. Credit to Perez too, he played well today.

Can Anyone watching the stream explain their second goal, free kick was taken a good 15 yards away at least, striker looked offside, after the Danny Ward tackle and before ball ended up in the net me and others around me thought we heard the whistle go

Overall, i thought we played a lot better than we have done so far Pre-Season, albeit against a sub standard Villarreal team.

I thought we started off a bit slow, we were second to everything and should Villarreal had a bit more quality, we could have been behind. Once we warmed in to the game, i thought there was some real quality starting to show again. Barnes looked threatening throughout which was a big positive following his absence.

I thought second half, following Fofana's injury, it was just a write off. The atmosphere not only in the stands, but also on the pitch, it was clear to me that everyone's minds were on Fofana.

Overall, it's a victory over what are allegedly a good Spanish team. I think there's been an improvement each match but it still feels like we are 2-3 friendlies away from being match day ready.

Looked a bit soft after the final whistle didn’t we, didn’t see any handbags

Yeah, and I wasn’t too keen on the way the boys responded after the challenge.

I’m not happy that Emery kept Fer Niño on but if that was to be, someone should have done something to send a message.

We’re not going to want to have a player do something as disgusting as the tackle Fer Niño did and you wouldn’t ask a player that needs a good showing to do something to hurt his own chances this season. But come on guys, put in some sort of tackle, throw a shoulder into him as you both get anywhere in the vicinity of the ball, at least get in his face, f***ing something.

The boys looked a little soft out there and that’s a shame because 1) the night was going so well and we were even winning every 50-50 ball before that, and 2) a small message that you’re sticking up for your teammates can make a big impact. They cannot be letting other teams bully them.
