I am excited but apprehensive about the King Power on Saturday.

I am double vaccinated and coming with my 14 yr old.

What do I need to know about Covid protocols?

I wouldn't be bothered. LCFC always say stuff is going to happen then it never does.

Also, at Wembley on Saturday, the rules weren't even there. I didn't even need to do a test on Friday lol

They asked for my result

There was a 'please read' webpage and email circulated before the Villareal game, which basically said, wear a mask in the concourse/toilets (some people did and some didn't), and don't bring your own food. I can't imagine it will be any different for the Wolves match.

It felt very much back to normal, to be honest. Make of that what you will.

As someone who has been isolating since March 2020 and visited my first shop/supermarket last week I find this all a bit worrying. I hope I haven't wasted the last 15months only to catch it due to the shambolic instructions/controls of the government, FA, PL and LCFC.

Rules for thee and not for me since last year. Get out, enjoy the fresh air and your god given freedoms! Crazy locking yourself away for so long.

Thankfully we are not a full blown  authoritarian state (yet)😂

I’m sure he had a pretty legit reason for self isolating.

It is concerning when a third of the under 30's have not even had the first jab. There will be super-spreaders amongst us.

I won't be hanging around in the consourse but not sure of the plan for the half time pee. Not going down during the match.

I would say you were in a tiny percentile that got checked, I didn't see anyone checking at all, you're the first person I've heard say they got asked for anything

I think if you wear a mask and get out of the concourse as fast as possible you should be fine. Outside the chances of catching anything are quite minimal. And I think most people respect other peoples choices to wear a mask

hope you enjoy being back

Firstly, i wouldn't let the apprehension ruin your excitement for Saturday, albeit easier said than done. I must have got unlucky at Wembley, i was asked for my proof of vaccination / negative test upon entry, although this wasn't checked against my match ticket.

There was no protocol at Villarreal, just gentle reminders to social distance etc.

Your biggest risk would be the concourse / toilets and any pre / post pub visits. You should be fine throughout the match itself, just wear your mask in area's you feel at more risk.

Most of all, try and enjoy the freedom and match, it will be amazing for you and your kid to get back down the KP.

I’m glad I had covid last month, I assume you can’t get the same variant twice?

It’s extremely unlikely and even less so if you’re also vaccinated.

Supposedly reinfection has accounted for 0.5-1% of all cases.
