2021/2022 LCFC season predictions - League placing, Europe and Cups

What are your predictions for the coming season?

5th in the league

 

Semi-finals of both cups. 

 

Europa League winners.

Oh and forgot to mention this is in the midst of the first XI all suffering ACL injuries in the first half of the season

Season success will be holding on to our rep as 'the next best'....fierce competition for 5th coming from Spurs, Everton, West Ham and  Villa will be hunting for 6th/7th.

 

Think the lads are addicted to trophies though. Anyone else see Madders' face drinking in another medal at the presentation? I expect a tilt at all three cups, but LC the most realistic. The methadone to the FA Cup heroin.

On a personal level I'd love to see us lift the league cup in person.

I'd snap your hand off for 5th and a European final.

I really think we’ll win the league cup. A steady 6th place finish with a good run in the Europa but ultimately out in the quarters of both that and the FA Cup.

Early, but not a single vote predicting worse than 7th in the league … and 35% think we’ll lift the Europa League trophy 

 

There’s no arguing it then … expectations have changed … a lot.

5th in the league. I just think genuinely the competitive this season is frightening. I just can’t see any of Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or man united outside the top 4. Then I can see arsenal bouncing back in some way unfortunately, spurs will be there or there abouts plus teams like Villa could be sniffing around? Tough season this. Do think we’ll win the league cup tho.

I was going to put runners up for the Europa, but couldn't bring myself to put us losing in the final. 

 

Whatever happens I think we'll have a positive season and build on the foundations we've laid down the last few years.

I think we'll go far in one of the domestic cups, probably the League Cup as 2nd half of the season we'll focus on the Europa League where we'll get to eat least the QF's.

I put is down for two trophies -- League Cup and Europa League -- because we now have a "winning mentality" according to the gaffer --  and a top four finish.

 

Other predictions:

 

Jonny Evans will play less than 15 league matches this year.

Vardy will be third amongst our goal-scorers.

Maswanhise will make at least three PL appearances this year.

Ben Nelson will feature in a League Cup or Europa League match.

There will never be a day when all of our fullbacks are fit and available.
