Barnes' injury last year was avoidable. Justin had played every game and needed a rest. No coincidence those 2 that played virtually every game got bad injuries - overloading.

Vestergaard had no pre season and then gets injured with no pre season. Sounds very avoidable to me.

I'm a big Rodgers fan but his record of managing injuries everywhere he's been is atrocious.

I'd be fascinated to see what Paul Balsom makes of this. Rodgers record wherever he has been with injuries is really iffy.

Ben Nelson is injured too....

Deeply troubled by our ongoing injury issues. I know we were 'lucky' in 2015/16, but what have we been doing differently? Obviously Rennie has gone, but what else is different? Is Rodgers pushing too hard in training? Have we stopped the cryotherapy? Is the pitch, and the training pitches, too hard/soft? Is the artificial/hybrid grass leading to increases in injuries?

All we can really do in such trying times is be thankful that we still have three senior CBs available. I mean with the injury list it’s amazing that we have options at all.

And then you realise Amartey and Benkovic have had a pretty torrid few years with injuries and even Soyuncu was out last season for a big chunk. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!

Anyone found a bunch of keys that says “15/16 PED cupboard” on them? If so, please take them to Brendans office.

The issue is they are just the keys to Vardys secret port and redbull stash!

Rodgers will play himself as CB before he gives Benkovic a chance haha

Interesting aerial duals here - Rogers at 4'11" challenging Soucek at 6' 15" !!!!

(but Schmichel STILL wouldnt help out!)

Either it is the method Rodgers has been using (they really need to be questioned now) or it is Feng Shui. Please is someone looking at Feng Shui?

Jannik Vestergaard has been ruled out of tonight’s game after picking up an injury in training. On Friday, Brendan Rodgers said the centre-back was not up to speed fitness-wise. #LCFC

So Rodgers said Jannik is not up to speed. Then Jannik tried too hard and got himself injured.

Have the monks not gone back and blessed the new pitch and training pitches?!

I think Rennie went because of conflicts with Rogers over players returns. It takes time to heal properly, and rushing players back is a mistake.
