Our luck has to change - we've more than made up for the near pristine injury record in 15/16

We need to get the PEDs out again. No one tell the Arsenal fans, this time.

Injury this week - having a scan on his knee. Doubtful for West Ham now.

I’m not an ITK but I’ve heard from a few of my mates who have been told this. Could be BS but let’s see.

If it turns out to be true, I’ll see if there’s any RW goss!

I hope it isn’t true by the way!!

Now this is true..Please tell there is some goss to cheer us up

So you'd play somebody with no match fitness to gain an extra inch or two in height? lol

Not to mention hes probably not going to be 100% in the air seeing as he's just coming back from a serious head/facial injury

Can we fin-nally ban him for false info? 😂

Please do. He'll probably do a flounce now he's been find out.

Either that or he's a WUM and the joke is on us.

It's time to go!

Haven't written us off at all. Did I say that? Just think that if we let them lob lots of high balls into our box it is a risky strategy. They have so many huge players who are good in the air, Souchek arguably the best header of the ball in the division.

Sorry, the comment re people writing us off was more speaking out loud - not aimed at yourself.

I’m not saying let them have free reign to pop endless crosses into our box, just that if we defend with a ‘low block’ I don’t think they have the quality to break us down. How many headers are scored from crosses in the prem all season?

Not that many I’d have thought, so defending in that manner for a game like this wouldn’t be a bad move. Better than Amartey camped on the halfway line getting skinned by Antonio for pace haha

Everyone is worrying about Amartey vs Antonio, but if the full backs play well and stop them from getting many crosses into Antonio, and if Wilf and Youri are able to control the middle of the park and stop them playing through the middle, then we should be okay.

The only worry for me is if Amartey is exposed one on one, but like I say, the others around him are more than good enough to screen the two centre halves if they play to their full potential tonight.

Plus...I cant remember Amartey being skimmed, by any One player, or through a match..Its his odd poor mistakes that let him down...

Every Single Defender on our books, as been beaten & turned, also on One on one, or been caught on pace...Shit happens..!!ich

I wonder if we might see Soumare/Ndidi doubling up, in Front of the defence, then Tielemans & Maddison with Barnes being the outlets.

Away game against One of the quickest Counter-attacking teams, full of confidence.

Bit we have no reason yet to Feel Sorry for ourselves, we still have enough Quality to compete, & Its only the 2nd game.

We have had a Week to prepare, with the Knowledge of Middle defence shortages...

Lets look at what we can bring...

                    Schmeichel

Ricardo.    Amartey.  Soyuncu.   Thomas

                    Ndid.  Soumare

              Tielemans    Maddison/ Perez

                      Vardy Barnes

Subs:   (9)

Bline cover thin... So I would have Castagna on the bench, Thomas starting...Then

Ward, Praet,Nacho,Daka,Albrighton, Benkovic,Castagna,Choudhury, KDH.....

Vardy..70-75 mins, Then Daka..

The thought of Armartey stepping in tonight makes me a lot less confident going into this.

West Ham will cause the strongest of defences a lot of problems this season.

Same. He’s a liability. Personally I want Benko to get a chance.

Not sure how bad his injury is, but this is why I'd have gone for a loan first. Yes a loan player can still get injured, of course, but if he has recurring injury then he'd be gone at end of the season. Vestergaard was out for two months last season with his knee. We only really wanted cover for Fofana anyway.

I think for all of the 'Should of, could of Would of' regarding Vestergaard, this is nothing but extremely bad luck. It's almost laughable but we just have to deal with it some how.

Benkovic hasn't looked like getting a chance but then I do question why he's still at the club if there's no prospect of him featuring?

I think its got to such a drastic point now I'd rather see Ndidi at CB than Armatey. Even at the sacrifice of his midfield dominance.

Armatey got away with a lot of sloppiness against Wolves, i don't want to ride that wave again tonight.

The absolute worst outcome here is if we lose 2-1.

The silver lining if we got thumped, as we absolutely deserve, was that there might be some reflection. A realisation that sideways football will not work, least of all against counter attacking outfits.

Hopefully we manage to make the most of this gift of an opportunity.
