Attack has to be our best form of defence tonight.. Don't give West Ham the chance to pin us in.

Please Brendan for once be brave.

Didn't we try that in the two game against them last season.

I think Rennie went because of conflicts with Rogers over players returns. It takes time to heal properly, and rushing players back is a mistake.

I got told by someone who works at the club that if the physio says someone is out for 4 weeks BR asks if they can get them back within 2 weeks.

Did you watch the games against them last year? They slaughtered us on the counter.

Yeah fair points, I just can't stand the thought of us defending our 18 yard line for 80 odd minutes

Anyone found a bunch of keys that says “15/16 PED cupboard” on them? If so, please take them to Brendans office.

Even if they found the keys the cupboard is still at Belvoir Drive. The women have it now.

Won’t find a PL manager who doesn’t ask or do the same. Numerous examples of the big six having players with niggle injuries or rush d back.

Not a defence of BRod either this

Which is similar to what happened with Barnes. Advised to rest as it could settle down the inflammation and then he played him anyway.

I'm a huge Rodgers fan and injuries are part and parcel of him being our manager because he pushes our players so hard but I'm not having anyone say it's bad luck.

Tbf when he didn’t start the two games in question, fans were raging that he didn’t play

At least we now hopefully won't play 3 at the back

Against West Ham who have spanked us quite a fair bit in recent times and a CB injury crisis? 3 cbs is nailed on. It’ll be Timmy, Danny and Cags in a back 3.

Rodgers will be happy with a point tonight. To be honest, i will as well considering recent games against this lot.

Thats because his injury wasn’t public knowledge, if it were people would have been fuming to see him playing risking it further.

Barnes being injured for as long as he was last season cost us at least 5-6 points easy.

If he does that then I'll be disappointed. If you have defensive problems surely the best plan of action is to try and be on the front foot rather than spend 90 mins defending?

Seem to remember years ago Arsenal always seemed to have loads of non contact injuries similar to us, Fofana and Castange aside. A few years ago Rio Ferdinand came out and said that when they were away with Englad they often used Arsenal's training ground as a base and that the training pitches there were noticably harder than those at other clubs and that he thought this may be a contributing factor.

Obsiously could be complete rubbish but wondering whether the pitches at Seagrave are a bit harder than those at Belvoir Drive and it's compounding our issues.

Agreed but I understand why Rodgers kept that under wraps though equally.

I think it’s something what happens far more across the division but we see it focused on us as we are exposed to more information. I can think of Rashford, Martial and Pulisic as players not afforded recovery after injury leading to another injury or poor form

Possibly, though the majority of our major injuries have occurred during competitive games.

This Vestergaard injury, and perhaps Evans were maybe impacted if this is a factor.

But I also recall this period when Arsenal was basically a medical ward instead of a football team.

Is Benkovic injured or he is that unrated that he still can’t get a kick?

I think it's only the fans who don't rate him tbf. Rodgers was saying how impressed he'd been with Benkovic only a couple of weeks ago. No one knows how fit he is with the injury problems he has had but I wouldn't be surprised to see him playing a role in the near future. He does seem to be behind Amartey in the pecking order right now though.

I thought the opposite, it was said that the KP pitch was too soft which is why they just had it relaid over the summer. I'm sure a huge proportion of our injuries seem to occur at home....

That is obviously not correct. It’s clear that there is an issue as Rodgers hasn’t played him since he’s been at Leicester and he’s also had a series of unsuccessful loans.

I don’t think most fans, including me, have seen enough of him to make an informed opinion either way. Most of us are just scratching our heads to understand what’s gone wrong after an apparently successful start at Celtic.

No we turned up at West Ham with a back five, Praet as the attacking midfielder and were 3-0 down within 48 minutes.
