As just posted above, away goals do not count in head to head.

My mistake head to head finish is only down to most goal scored, so  if we win by any score line it goal difference if we are level on points.

Away goals only come in if the there is no way to split the teams after head to head, goal difference and goal score in the overall group.

I do not have an expectation that we will 100% get a point at Napoli but they really should not have put six or seven past us at home. If Daka had adjudged to be onside (which he probably should have been) we would have most likely won that game 3-0 which would have created a very different narrative. I actually thought that was one of our best displays of the season.

We've got the worst of both worlds here. Someone earlier saying we should have lost 6 or 7-0 and you think we should have won and played well.

I remember us getting battered that game and somehow we were 2-0 up. We probably deserved to lose the game but not by 6 or 7 for sure. It was definitely not one of our best displays of the season either. Very much average in my opinion.

However, even though playing them away will be tough, I think we have it in us to give them a game. Are Napoli favourites? Absolutely. They were favourites against Spartak at home and lost, we were favourites against Spartak at home but drew. Such is football. It's a shame we will need to get a result from this game but so be it.

Our best chance to get something is if they beat Spartak. They might decide to rest some of their players if they are already through.

Napoli were far superior on the night, osihmen ran us ragged and if he knew how to finish the game would’ve been out of sight. Likewise I recall that Fulham reject running the midfield. Who knows how we were 2 up and we were definitely lucky to get a draw. Probably not a 6 or 7 game for Napoli, but they were much better than us

Well yeah, it is true that two or three nil would have definitely flattered us, but did they dominate us? I don’t think so personally - I just looked at the match stats to remind myself and it was pretty even. I think you’re both missing how good Napoli actually are, this is a side who have won ten and drawn two in what is a very strong division. There is a strong case to say that they’d challenge for the title in England, at worst they’d comfortably finish in the top four imo.

If we were that poor that night we would have lost easily. It’s as simple as that for me. I certainly don’t think that we were amazing though - I guess my comment was somewhat misleading as when I said that it was one of our best displays this season, I genuinely think that we’ve only played well once. I do however still think that had it not been for individual brilliance from Oshimen or poor officiating for Daka then people would be labelling it as the second best performance of the season.

It's just occurred that we'll already know the outcome of Spartak v Napoli before our game.

Yep. If Spartak wins it puts the pressure on us as we'd need to win our last 2 games to confirm qualification.

Attempted manslaughter but he's not remanded in custody as far as I know.

There's no such thing as attempted manslaughter.

Edit: turns out there is. Genuinely never heard of attempted manslaughter.

Osimhen will not be available for Napoli against us, fractured his cheekbone and eye socket

That sounds horrible and I hope he's okay but also glad he won't be playing against us.

Same injury as Castagne had?

Yeah I think so, clash of heads and the side of his face swelled up

Unless they deploy 3 year old Neopolitan children then they'll at least be good for 2 goals from corners anyway so it really doesn't matter who out of their squad is unavailable.

What makes you confident that 3 year old Neopolitan children couldn't score against us from a corner

Trying to work out the best outcome from today's game... I think we could get away with a draw against Napoli if Spartak win but then drop points to Legia again (providing we beat them tomorrow). All other scenarios seem to need us winning both games to finish top?
