Personally think this would be a good signing. Very talented player who I think would flourish in our set up. Similar in ability to Gray but with a better footballing brain. Definite step up from Perez (admittedly not hard).

It's a bit underwhelming but I think it was the kind of stature of a signing I was expecting now, mainly due to the Fofana injury and having to put more money into the Vestergaard deal. I'm really hoping we make some good use of Soumare though, because I think we needed a quality player on the right more than we needed him, even if I do like the look of him on the small sample so far.

I believe squad size and registration rules makes it very tight and getting both would mean we have to leave other players out

We already know he isn’t shit, he had a really good season at Fulham but yes if he doesn’t set the world alight in the first match they’ll be out with their pitchforks. 
 

I’ve  looked at the reactions of other fans of teams that were strongly linked, Wolves, Palace etc. Those fans were excited by the prospect, while I know we’re deemed a better side I do think some of our fans let their imaginations get away with themselves and probably play way too much Football Manager - forgetting we’re run sustainably, our squad was in balanced and our priorities may have changed based on injuries.

Anyhow, for the more cerebrally challenged posters. It means he’s not great and not the RW we are looking for. Hence like resigning Ghezzal - another RW we weren’t looking for.

So considering he’s played 92 games for us. Scored 11 goals (5 of which were in 2 games) & made 6 assists do u rate him?

I think many fans have a very narrow view of what a wide attacking player needs to do
