Expect to be entertained. Play 4411 on the front foot.

Play to our strengths, pace of Vardy,Barnes,Looking,Ricardo, castanger.

Play Nacho for 4 games in a row.

What we are watching now is boring

Slow and ineffective.

My general expectations are quite modest really

i) to see us get stuck in and have a go

ii) to see us play with positive intent to create regular chances and score goals

iii) to see at least a reasonable level of defensive competence

iv)  to watch a team picked on merit

v( to be entertained

vi) to see improvement in areas where there are clearly obvious deficits

I thought your modest expectations, are not to much to ask for.

Liked your use of Roman numerals as well, i always mess up on number 4

Beware googling 30 in Roman numerals!

Returning to the thread itself - I've learnt not to have any expectations, merely hopes.

Some unrealistic (and dare I say entitled) expectations earlier in this thread. We are not currently good enough to finish top 8, or to win a trophy.

Danger now is going in the opposite direction.

Mid table should be acceptable, given the defensive injuries. Get JJ and Wes fully fit again, and we can go forward again.

Just happy to make the numbers up given where we’ve been in the past! It’s a privilege and honour to be in the best league in the world. 😊

Our expectations are dwindling by the week …….

Yep. The tide comes in...but then it goes out again.

What happens if BR jumps ship to Newcastle, and then comes in January to sign up Tielemans, Castagne and Barnes?

We'll have a shed load of cash to reinvest into new players and we go again.

I'll be more worried if they snaffle Susan Whelan and all our scouting team and backroom operations which is quite likely.

No chance that Susan leaves Top

the backroom team is another matter ……money talks

I'd love to win the Europa League - the way things are going it's probably our best ever chance at a european trophy and might remain the best chance in the next 30 years.

Mid table would do me if we could achieve the above.

Newcastle won't be coming for many of our players they are going to be shopping at a more exclusive club than that. They are the richest club in the world pretty much and the only thing that will stop them buying anyone is location.

I think the players and manager don't want another brilliant start, setting up camp in the top 4 only to slowly crumble week after week  under the pressure.

Both would be more comfortable chasing the target, not hanging onto it.

They set the bar so low even at October, top 10 is looking an incredible achievement come the end of the season.

I'll be grateful to survive, satisfied with mid table and happy with top 10.

The letter won’t happen simply. They will/could have one of the four but that’s it.

In answer to the general question, I think collectively we were all happy to turn a blind eye to the league form provided the European form was good. That loss in Legia has caused some ‘scars’ and now leaves us with a mighty task of needing to win in Moscow, win the two home games (which tbf we would have wanted) and given Napoli’s loss in Moscow, a good chance of needing something in Italy. It may be that we drop down to the conference league and refocus.

The aim, even now with a poor start should be to qualify for European football. Again the fan base will be happy to accept lower table positions if deep (and I mean deep) runs occur in the cup competition

Simple one for me. Just to see us playing well again would be a start. We haven’t played well pretty much all 2021 not just since the start of this season

I have no expectations of making Europe again this season and I DO expect we’ll finish mid table. We just concede too many goals

Won't happen. But the club would have plenty of millions to spend if they decided to go down that route.

My expectations are the same as always, just enjoy the ride, win, lose or draw remembering at the same time that I neither lose nor win anything personally what ever the score….I know I’m sure a plastic lol

Top half finish. Consolidate at the back and become an entertaining team. A cup run would be great too.

Worried we will not even get out of our Europa group.

I know I speak on behalf of a large majority of the fan base when I say if my team lose....I lose with them....its what makes it all the more special and meaningful when they win....You can't experience the ultra highs of winning if you don't take to heart the losing....losing hurts me and makes me angry.

Mid-table finish, decent showing in Europe, no conference or europa next season. Blood Soumare as a starter or find a Tielemans a replacement. Then take on the prem refreshed next season.
