Improve on the previous season's points tally, league position doesn't really bother me, it's a false reading that can change from season to season. I want us to dominate the xG score against bottom half teams and I want us to finish on 67+ points. Any less than 60 points would be a serious step back. 60-65 would be acceptable if there were good performances and we've been clearly unfortunate.

So compared to last season you're only willing to accept a swing of 2-3 results?

Top half finish with a challenge for a European spot and a decent run in the Europa League would constitute a good season. Our worst season should probably be mid-table mediocrity with no real challenge in the cups - anything worse than that is a bit of a failure.

It's tricky for me.

The fact we've (I think it's fair to say) NEVER been able to play our 'strongest' XI since Brendan brought his own players in is nuts.

Similarly the fact during that time we've had two 5th place finishes and an FA Cup and Community Shield win is equally nuts!

Perhaps we are doing things in reverse this season and that might not be the worst thing! No more injuries and we might well be able to play that best XI by late jan/feb and could make a charge for 5th.

For now I just want to see us put in 100% even if it result in a draw/loss, I feel we've lost a bit of that recently, a bit of that Leicester determination to run ourselves into the ground even if it results in defeat... that's what is missing for me currently, less so league positioning which doesn't really matter until about December (given we aren't realistically trying for top 4 this season).

Essentially I just want to see less baffling team selections and more desire from underperforming players.

As others have said i'll take outside of European spots if maybe we won the League Cup?

Its so frustrating to look at a list of our fully fit squad - what a team! We have been so terribly unlucky with injuries.  I'm still hoping for top 6, it's a long season and it's early days.  Players will be coming back from injury so let's hope for a really strong middle and end of season.

The focus needs to be on getting players back and supporting the players we have at the moment not knocking their confidence. They know its not good enough, Brendan and Top know its not good enough. Let's be the 12th man and cheer them over the line.  We do need a bit of luck to start happening for us too.  It will come together and it's doubtful other teams will get through the season with consistently brilliant form and no injuries.  💙

Good run in the cups, get to at least a semi-final of one of the Europa League, FA Cup or League cup.

Finish in the top 8.

Finish the season strongly and playing attacking football.

Top half, make the Europa Knockouts and go deep in one of the domestic cups again.

I'm not expecting silverware, but I want us to make a bloody good go of it, since at the rate it's going we might struggle to make a European place of any sort this season. Europa League is the priority in my mind now, unless things really do go tits-up and we find ourselves down there.

I still maintain we're nowhere near one of the three worst teams in this league, but unless we pull our pants up and stop playing like rabbits in the headlights we could be part of that conversation. If things get worse rather than better, the league obviously becomes the priority.

Top 10 and decent run in the Europa league last 16 /quarter finals  Although going to be hard to get out the group.  Even if we do and finish 2nd that means we would be playing a champions league drop out team.

Maybe I am looking at it through blue tinted glasses but despite the results, I am still fairly positive this year. I think there is enough there to suggest we have a very good squad.

The performance (attacking wise) against Napoli, given their start to their own season, was excellent.

We shouldve beaten Brighton - they got a few lucky calls but when we switched on and attacked, we were two or three classes above them.

Same against Burnley, we shot ourselves in the foot and they got a result.

The last two years, we've started well and tailed off. This year, I'm expecting the opposite to be honest. I see us being very strong after Christmas. Which bodes well for the cups provided we get through.

top 6, with a good cup run still for me. Sort the defence out and we are sitting top 4 right now.

I mean I have to accept anything that happens.

I'll consider it a failure if we go backwards though considering we've strengthened the squad and Rodgers is now into his 3rd full season with us.

If its clear that were prioritising europe and are playing weaker teams in the league then obviously I will reassess. Nothing is set in stone in football.

That would be my general target at the start of a season though

Interesting that most seem to be saying top half and a cup run. Whilst I tend to agree that's where we're looking at the moment, especially when you look at other teams, I think majority of Leicester fans would be really disappointed with that and we would without a doubt hear more boos down Filbert Way.

I expect a bumpy midtable ride in the league and some serious attempts at the cups especially Europa League. It will probably feel pretty meh after the last few seasons unless we somehow nick a cup.
